So happy!
It's a fantastic deal for titanium scissors. But titanium isn't all that counts. They are also well constructed, so the blades fit together just right. This leads to an easy, crisp and precise cut. I can easily snip a dangling piece of fabric or yarn without having to pull them taut. The handles are also comfortable. These are the best scissors I've used in a long time!

Great Scissors and a Good Buy
I've bought these scissors twice, now, and I absolutely love them. They are very sharp and keep their edge well. I use them for trimming the thick hair on my two Cavaliers. Over time, all that hair does dull them, at which point I retire them to use for cutting paper, cardboard, and kids' projects. They continue to function well in that capacity. I expect to buy another set once these are getting old, but after two years of heavy use, the most recent set is still going strong, so it'll be a while. I can truly recommend them for anything that needs a good edge, be it sewing, hair, or some other purpose. Caution: They *are* sharp enough to cut skin if handled carelessly, so keep them away from young children. And if you use them for mats on your pets, don't pull the hair out tightly, because the skin will also pull out a bit. If you can't see the skin, you may nick it, which I discovered the hard way. Luckily, my dogs forgave me quickly, but ...

✂️ These Scotch scissors are pretty impressive, but... ✂️
They're not quite as good as the 3 pack of Fiskars all purpose scissors that you've probably seen out here on Amazon. You know, the ones that are like a dull pink, blue, and green color? I tested one of the Scotch pair of scissors against one of the Fiskars pair of scissors for about three days, by using them both on everything that I cut. And while the Scotch scissors were always really close to the Fiskars, I always felt like the Fiskars were a little better. And that's even with giving the Scotch scissors a huge head start. Because believe it or not, the Fiskars that I was using were over a year old already. And besides that, the Scotch scissors feel like they are lighter in weight, but it turns out that they're not. One pair of the Fiskars weighs 2.5 ounces, and one pair of the Scotch scissors weighs 2.9 ounces. At least, that's what I got when I weighed them. Anyway, all I'm saying is that the Fiskars are a little better, in my opinion. And I'm not saying that these Scotch scissors are bad by any means. I mean, they have a non-stick coating while the Fiskars do not. Ultimately though, I suppose it just comes down to a matter of preference. Or maybe you are someone like me who has always preferred Fiskars scissors and have always used them, but you're looking for a change of pace. Because that's the main reason that I got these, and I'm definitely not disappointed. They are attractive, comfortable scissors that cut well for righties and lefties. And so, I have still decided to give them a score of 5... out of, 5.

Nice "General Daily Use" Scissors for Around the House, but Read On ...
Just have reasonable expectations, and chances are you will be delighted with these. They are probably not too useful on cloth; but on paper, light-to-medium cardboard, light plastics, packaging tape, wrapping paper, etc., they work fantastic. It's nice to have a color-coded set, because you can distribute them around the house and thereby have a better chance of keeping track of where they are located (or should be located). They are smooth in operation, and cut paper items well. One person asked about washing them in the dishwasher: I would never do that. If you find you need to clean them, use Windex and a cloth. A dab of oil on the joint might be helpful over time. Also--and this is a "trick" that sometimes people are not aware of--is that, if your scissors over time seem to get dull, before you blame the scissors, look carefully at the blades. If you have been repeatedly using these to cut packing tape, the glue from the tape can slowly migrate to the blades, and they don't cut as well. That means it's time to clean them. Hot water will help, along with cloth, even an old electric toothbrush head connected to your electric toothbrush, may bring them back to life and restore much of their sharpness. (You'll notice the "glue effect" buildup mostly when you aere cutting gift paper, and try to do a clean "run" of cutting: if they don't do that well, chances are you have buildup on the blades. So, are these the best scissors in the world? Of course not. If you want those, particularly for hair cutting, go directly to the Solingen brand ( Ergo Silver Star Hair Scissor Shears, 5.625 Inches, Hollow Ground, Ice-Tempered Stainless Steel, Made in Solingen, Germany ) and you'll see what REAL scissors can be like. But for general, around the house use, from everything from paper, to opening boxes, to wrapping gifts, to sealing boxes with shipping tape, you can't beat these. The price is right, you get three of them, they are color coded, comfortable, and of decent quality. Have reasonable expectations and purchase the type of scissors you need, and you'll likely be completely satisfied.

Great scissor pack for around the house
This Scotch scissor pack is a great addition to any home. These are nice & solid, well made scissors. I finally got fed up with dull and nicked up scissors. This Scotch 3-pack was just what the doctor ordered. For less than $12, my scissor frustrations are behind me. Some may consider me as tight as the bark on a tree. So if I say these are a good value, you can take it to the bank.
