Fertilome 8 Oz Over The Top Grass Killer - 10434

Bermuda has been invading my flower beds for 3 years. I've tried pulling, fabric, mulch, and various herbicides to no avail. I followed the mixing instructions for this into a spray bottle, and sprayed in 4 ft by 3 ft section. After a week I noticed a little bit of yellowing, but felt like it wasn't going to work. Now 3 weeks later, all the grass I sprayed is dead and the shrubs and roses are doing great. Definitely happy with this product, just need to be patient.

Very effective but be patient it will not kill overnight It will help you mitigate that bermuda grass in your shrubs and Monkey grass. I did use dawn dish soap as my surfactant. This seemed to work well.

This is touted to not kill surrounding plants. Well guess what my ground cover is dead but the grass is thriving!!!!

This products works really well to kill short, growing grass. Grass that has reached a height of more than six inches will usually turn partially purple or yellow and, thou it will probably not die, it will be stunted to the point where the plants you are trying to save will out-grow the grass. This product works very slow, usually taking a week or more to begin showing any results. So don't give up. That's why I write that it is only one tool. You will still need to cultivate, plow, or hoe if you desire a totally grass free garden.

I use it on my centipede lawn to kill crabgrass and bermuda grass that invade it without harming the centipede. Do not use on fescue. My neighbor saw me killing crabgrass with it, bought some for her fescue yard and killed it. Easy to mix in a sprayer. One ounce product to one ounce of dawn dish washing liquid to one gallon of water. The soap acts as a surfactant. You can buy a separate surfactant but it will cost a lot of money and dawn does the same thing. Just remember to add the water to the sprayer first and then the soap or you will have suds all over. Gently swirl shake the sprayer after filling. The product selectively inhibits photosynthesis so the crabgrass and bermuda grass will turn brown and die. The only downside is this stuff is expensive.

This is a great product but when I received it, it had been leaking and was only about 3/4 full.
