Needs a bigger water filter and water heater, it’s OK for the money.
I got the 20 gallon glow fish tank set up. It’s a decent fish tank no leaks or defects. The water filter is a tetra whisper 20 and it runs nice and quiet. The suction line for the filter only goes about halfway down the tank so it needs an extra piece so that it reaches further down. It came with two sets of lights, a little set of blue lights or “Glow fish” lights and some white lights. The little water heater seems to work well holding the water temperature at 78° with an indoor temperature of 70. It is non-adjustable. It came with some glow fish fake plants which I would rate a soft 2 out of 10 for appeal. I mean they just look terribly fake LOL and what did I expect I guess. I bought a few real plants to go in there with I’ll probably take out the fake plants here soon. I bought the black gravel with pink green orange acrylic pebbles in there and the black gravel is super messy and hard to wash, just a heads up. Be super careful mounting the hood to the aquarium. The lid for the Fishtank is rather flimsy and if you put too much force on it it will break. A few things to mention as far as this being a starter kit for first time aquarium owners. If you have a 20 gallon fish tank try to get a filter that’s rated for 30 gallons. You don’t want to max out your filter. Kind of setting people up for failure putting a water filter that is maxed out at 20 gallons in a 20 gallon tank. Fish are messy you need a good filter. Make sure you prime your motor on your filter. It’s real simple just take a cup and fill the reservoir with some water so that your motor doesn’t burn out. If you have the ability to go to a pet shop. You will most likely save money on items rather than buying this kit. Now I tell you that because I am in rural Alaska and the nearest Petco or whatever is 200 miles away. But if you can go get a 20 gallon tank with a lid buy your own water filter, water heater and customize the parts for your fish tank you will get what you need for cheaper than buying this kit. Like I mentioned before you should get a bigger water filter and a adjustable water heater. The fake plants are just that fake and tacky looking. Just like anything if you have somebody else put things together for you it won’t be exactly what you want. I know I will eventually end up buying an upgraded water filter and an adjustable water heater. Make sure you don’t skimp on the Bacteria to help get your nitrogen cycle going. Some thing like tetra safe start will help you get your tank ready faster. It is not an end All fix all solution. You will still need to do water changes and test your water to make sure that the Ammonia and nitrite levels don’t get out of hand. But adding some bacteria will help you get the process rolling.

Loving this glow tank. 💯🫶🏼🐠🪼
Once you get it set up with all the glow products. It looks great especially at night. So far no complaints about the kit everything turned out nice after you put what you like in it.

For the price it’s a good tank
I had to add a 50 watt heater to the 100 watt that came with the kit. Other than that I’m impressed. We keep our house on the colder side (68) so maybe that’s the problem. The lid fit perfectly. We did get a small crack in the lid when removing the “punch out” plastic piece for the filter. That was a little irritating to deal with because the lid is very thin plastic. I hot glued the light stick to the tank lid. It concealed the light stick better than attaching to the tank frame as instructed. I think the Tetra Fussion set up is the exact same setup (a little cheaper) as the Glofish tank but I have a 5 gallon Glofish tank and love it so decided to go ahead with the Glofish over Tetra. Over all for the price I recommend it. I have experience with large tanks over 50 gallons and I’m okay with this simple setup. Our new house won’t allow the huge tanks. The bigger the tank though the easier to maintain. It’s really beautiful. I did order more plants for the Glo tanks and still have some tall plants coming. This

Great buy has few flaws but great quality tank
Great beginners tank...very easy to set up and maintain. I would always recommend 20 gallon tanks to beginners since more water is generally easy to balance ph and such easier as 10 gallon tanks if not maintained as often can become very toxic since it's only 10 gallons vs 20 gallons. The filter is a little noisy and not a big fan of the design of the filter. The intake tube" tube that draws water up into filter area is to short and should sit closer to the bottom to filter. The design has tube sitting about 6" down and it should be closer to 9" or 10". I've looked for extenders and they don't make them for the Tetra 20 series but for all the series about Tetra 30,40 etc. The tank is solid built and the led lights are positioned at a good angle to fully light the tank at any setting white or blue led. Filters are very cheap on Amazon 3 for maybe 7 dollars. I change my filter every month very cheap to do so and keeps tank amazingly clean. I had some problem with algae but got a few snails withing days problem solved. This also includes a heater that seems to keep the tank at 77.2° F to.77.7°F. Perfect for Beta or Tetras. All in all definitely worth the money still working on extending draw tube. I also like the ability to stop water flow without unplugging filter every time. This makes feeding great so filter isn't clogged with fish food. I shut mine off...feed fish...wait for them to eat all the food and turn switch and water starts cycling again. Great feature however o ring broke in 2 days not switch doesn't work looking for a replacement o ring instead of buying whole piece which is $20.00 so not really using feature anymore but great idea if it worked.

Good starter kit
I got the GloFish 20 gallon kit and am very happy with my purchase. It arrived well-packaged and in perfect condition. Besides the 20 gallon tank, the kit also contained a LED light, heater, filter, stick-on thermometer, two packs of Glofish plants (three in each pack), and one Glofish yellow anemone. Currently it contains four Glofish zebra danios and four Glofish tetras who love exploring the tank, and look amazing in the blue LED light. I also added some other plants and decorations not contained in the kit, as seen in the photo. The only thing I would improve is the lid since it is a bit flimsy and sometimes doesn't close all the way down after being lifted up. What wasn't included in the kit but I think is necessary for every fish owner and can also be purchased on Amazon are: gravel, a water test kit for testing nitrogen levels API FRESHWATER MASTER TEST KIT 800-Test Freshwater Aquarium Water Master Test Kit , water conditioner for water changes Seachem Prime 500ml , and a gravel cleaner siphon for water changes. Otherwise, I think it is a good starter kit.

It’s great but I have a couple issues
I would first like to start off by saying everything came in excellent condition, nothing was broken. I have the same filter in another tank and I can say that it is very quiet. The tank is well made and feels nice and sturdy. However, I’m a little disappointed with a few of the things that this tank came with (or should I say didn’t come with) and the quality of the lid. 1) YOU HAVE TO BUY GRAVEL SEPARATE! I should not have assumed it came with gravel and should have read it better. I wish they made it more clear that this DOES NOT COME WITH GRAVEL because they certainly implied that it does with a brief glance. With that said, I am annoyed that I now have to wait for the shipment of gravel to come in before I can start setting up and cycling my tank. 2) The light that arrived with the tank says that it is for a 10 gallon tank on the box. Now this wouldn’t be a problem if I bought a 10 gallon tank...but I didn’t buy a 10 gallon tank, I bought a 20 gallon tank. So now I need to purchase a light that is for a 20 gallon setup. The 20 gallon set up should come with a 20 gallon light, this is not noted anywhere obvious in the description. 3) The lid has a small opening to provide food, but there is no door for it. My problem with this is it leaves it open for things to get in (pet hair, dust, my cats fuzzy little paw, etc). You also have to remove part of the lid in order to fit the filter, but this wasn’t too bad since it has breakable tabs. Overall the set up is great, it is a bargain but I’m not too impressed with the things I that I mentioned above. I would recommend this tank and setup, but be prepared to drop another $60+ on gravel and a new light.

Awesome and inexpensive
Great set up and inexpensive stater kit. The pump is really noisy but I will buy a quite one. This is an awesome way to get started and includes everything but the fish. Really nice.
