do the battery drain problems still persist on the 1/2" model as mentioned in several reviews?

Well I have the big boy 3/4 drive torque adapter I don’t know anything about a battery drain problem all I can say is when you get finished using it take the batteries out

Can you use it for left handed axle nuts?

Yes it can do left and right turns 🙃

Can i set the torque lower than 15 ft lb?

If the lower limit is 15 ft lbs, then that is the lower limit! Also, Torque Wrenches are inaccurate at their extremities.
