Mine is not cutting sharply and cleanly, any tips for a clean cut?

Hold the plastic shield down firmly while cutting. Don't try cutting too many sheets at once. The blade will become blunt in time as with any knife/scissors or similar blade & therefore will only last so long depending on how often you use it.

how often do you have to change the blade, I am thinking of buying a new cutter I currently have a fiskar and always changing the blades

I bought this for my wife . She loves it . She's had a few different ones and they haven't lasted the course . Not sure how long the blades last but seems to just keep cutting .

Is this guillotine wide enough to cut a Vinyl Records sleeve? 12.2" is the length

The width is 45 cm so that’s 17 inches - so wide enough. I think it will only cut one piece of sleeve cardboard and not back and front - that’s my option not fact

Surely best to buy A3 size to be able to cut both a3 and a4. Any disadvantage?

Depends if you plan on trimming A3 longest edge or not. An A3 trimmer takes up more space too...
