Soft, dry washing - even in the winter!
Absolutely love this! I had been struggling with drying my washing during the winter months to the extent that I was reluctant to wash stuff as it would be all over the house and would dry crispy/hard. I had been reading about electric airers for quite a while but finally decided to take the plunge over christmas. I am sooo glad that I did! It is large, so you can't really hide it when it's in use (I fold it and hide it behind a curtain after use) but it dries my washing beautifully. I bought the cover as well as this seemed to be what users were advising and I can't get over how soft and pliable my washing is after it's dried! It certainly isn't a quick fix like an actual dryer but I can leave stuff overnight and it is usually dry by morning. Towels, clothes, jumpers - everything. One of my best purchases ever.

Nice size airer, drys well
Really pleased with this airer. Lots of space to hang your clothes and quite sturdy. When using the heat setting with the cover it gets washing dry quickly. Was fairly easy to set up, but make sure you read the instructions for the cover. Easy to store and good length power cord.

Good dryer and does as work as described
The good - price with cover £142 works well shirts on a hangar dried without creasing other garments laid on the rungs all dried well. Sturdy & seems well built. Folds up nicely and easy to store The not so good. ON/Off switch no temperature control / no on off timer. Well built with the exception of the cover supports which ( a bit like an umbrella to hold the cover clear of the sides) see pics. They are bits of thin wire with plastic tips that constantly fall off but are needed to prevent the wires puncturing the cover. Really poor cheap design that doesn't fit together properly - minor but a 10p part and a rubbish design. Cover ( sold separately for £40 ) not any better than my daughter in law's modified duvet cover she uses for hers - so the cover is expensive for what it is. Overall though pleased with the product - only had it a week but hopefully with the Black & Decker name it should last - apart from the spindly cover supports that I will have to replace or modify

Does the job
Good airer, like the fact it comes with a cover. Pros - Dries clothes quickly, plenty of drying space. Cons- Bottom shelf is not as good as I find the bottom of the clothes damp so have to move them to a higher shelf. the cover is a bit floppy as the frame to keep it rigid is very fiddly and not rigid.

Poor quality for the price
The basic dryer is fine, a bit cumbersome but easy to put together however the cover is useless. It’s too thin and flimsy to be effective at holding in heat. The supports for it are no where near substantial enough. Cheap options taken in production.

Black and Decker heated airer
This product is brilliant I would recommend . Some things can’t go in dryer so I needed it despite the lovely weather as I have a neighbour who constantly lights bonfires!!!! Easy to put up and the cover was easy to put together as well . I’m very pleased with it .

Not recommended
Wouldn’t recommend. Cover is the most flimsy thing ever and just rests on top of the airer. The washing only dried on the heated section of the bars the rest I had to put the dehumidifier on the clothes dry function to dry the rest. Returned as not fit for purpose, also have to pay for return so be aware

Bought to dry clothes and not just to air them
It seems to work very well it seems sturdier than it looks, the cover provided is a little fiddly to put together but works great I used super glue to attach the wire former rods that come with it because they seem to pull out of the plastic centre piece too easily and have had no problem with it since, once loaded up with clothes after I've washed them I put the wet clothes on the rack and zip up the cover, switch it on and shut the door up the clothes usually dry in about twenty four hours some heavier items of clothing need to be turned and put back on for a while longer one advantage of it is it warms the room up quite well, this time of year being very wet it's great to be able to dry clothes indoors, it doesn't seem to take up an aweful lot of space when in use, electricity consumption is quite good being only 500 watts. Doesn't cost the earth to run it, as it warms the room as well then I find that the radiator valve shuts down so saving money on heating that room when it's in use, I haven't worked out the savings on the heating bill yet but should imagine that it will offset the running costs of the clothes dryer, we will have to wait and see
