Shih Tzu (Complete Pet Owner's Manual)

We always rescued big dogs. This was our first little guy. Actually, Clint is a "Shih-poo" (Shih-Tzu/Poodle mix) AKA: "Designer dog". He has a lot of the Shih-Tzu behaviors, e.g. stubborn-ness. The Poodle in him tempers that with the classic Poodle intelligence. A lovely, loving dog. And, with Poodle hair, he doesn't shed.

HAVE A SHIH TSU AND THE SERIES OF BOOKS I BOUGHT HAVE ANSWERS FOR ALL MY QUESTIONS. HAVE LEARNED MY LITTLE RESCUE PUPPY APPARENTLY HAD A GOOD HOME AND PROPER TRAINING BEFORE WE BECAME A FUREVER FAMILY.

Tells the good and the bad. Purchased the book after I got my Shih Tzu - appreciated reading why training is more difficult and why they are so affectionate and lovable. Love my dog more, knowing what to expect.

This little book is more like a cheerleader's manual for Shih Tzu's than a truly informative tome for a new and anxious owner. Nonetheless, I was glad I bought it.

This book was very informative, helps me to understand our new rescue dog. She was never trained & never had much love. I love this breed of dog.

This book really didn't seem to have as much information geared towards Shih Tzus specifically as I had anticipated. It was just "okay".

About as good as any book you'll find out there. Very thorough with good tips for training. I like background information on the breed too. Good for new owners and those thinking about adopting.

Good book. I have my first Shih Tzu and I knew nothing about them. They're real special. They don't shed. Love , love, love it!
