I love this camera. But it does have flaws. I love the big screen. I HATE how loud it is when you have the music/white noise playing. Can’t even hear your baby over that! You have to have the camera very high up to be able to see almost the entire crib. I like to be able to see the whole crib. The picture quality is not the best but could be worse. It’s also not very loud. So if you are asleep and want to know if your baby is kinda whining this may not be the best because it’s hard to hear sometimes. I have had mine glitch with the sound bar a few times. But other than all of that I like this camera and will continue to use until I don’t need it anymore or until it breaks. It would be nice if the cords were a little longer since you have to mount it so high up.

Our old baby monitor stopped working/charging, and we needed to upgrade. We purchased this baby monitor because it is not Wi-Fi enabled - which was a non-negotiable for me. The monitor itself is HUGE compared to what we were previously using, and the battery life is amazing. This was one of our best purchases/upgrades so far! We have had no issue with the camera quality, or picture clarity, the motion detection is spot on, I love that it gives us a temperature reading for both rooms, and for under $200.00 this is a great value!

Night vision was the sore thumb on this product but my husband and I were able to resolve the issue by placing the cameras closer to the crib and toddler bed. We originally envisioned more of a full room view but the quality of the night vision when the camera is far away is just not useable. Too gray and fuzzy. Again, moving the cameras closer fixed this problem and we now love this system. The night vision quality is still not on par with other systems we have used in the past that provide less lag and greater contrast for a clearer image but it’s incredibly manageable and we can see all we need to see. Features we love: the volume can be very low which makes it nicer to have on all night, the one button switch between cameras, the mountable cameras, the price for a 2 cam system. Definitely recommend!

My husband and I love this monitor! We originally got one that connects to our phones but we had a lot of trouble with the connection and time delay. Since we have gotten this monitor we have had no issues! The picture is VERY clear and there is no time delay. The volume goes up loud enough for me to hear also. I love that you can set the temp on it so it warns you if the room gets too hot or cold! The battery does not last as long as I would like when it is not plugged in but everything else is worth it! I just plug it in when it’s not in use and have no problems then!

Edit: I originally gave this one star because an item was missing. It was very easy to get a replacement shipped and label for the return. It was user error!! 🤦🏻‍♀️ I found the “missing”part. It was there all along. I really like this monitor. Only thing I don’t like is that it turns off after 10 sec. It will turn on to noice but I don’t think it is sensitive enough to noice for what I use it for. And it doesn’t detect motion, for some reason I thought it did. Overall I am pleased with it.

I ordered this monitor because I really liked the features, but some of the most important features stopped working almost immediately, and the display screen had a line through it as soon as we turned it on. We set it up so the display screen would turn on and alert us if one of our kids cried, but otherwise remain off to conserve battery power and not increase light pollution in our bedroom at night. Well, that feature stopped working during the first month we had it. It wouldn't alert us or even turn on when our kids cried, so now we have to keep the display screen on constantly. This runs the battery down really fast, and means that there's a bright light in our room at night when we're trying to sleep. Not long after that, the temperature feature for both monitors stopped working properly. The monitor in my son's room stopped working entirely. The other monitor in my daughter's room continually says 79 degrees, even though we've verified with a thermometer that it's cooler than that most of the time. Our upstairs bedrooms get warm during the summer so we really liked this feature since it not only let us know if their rooms were comfortable, but you can also set it to alert you if it rises above a certain temperature. Neither of these functions are working anymore. When I reached out to V-Tech customer support, it took weeks to hear back from them. They want me to send the malfunctioning monitor in BEFORE they send me a replacement. So I'm supposed to live without a baby monitor for my kids for a few weeks? I'm not comfortable with that. Overall, I'm completely unimpressed with the product's durability and the customer service provided by the company.

So far, this monitor is just okay. It mutes itself after a while making us wonder if it is working, if a sound is made that is louder than the ambient noise it turns on kind of abruptly which can wake us up from a dead sleep instead of a constant white noise sounds that persists through the night. The controls are a little clunky and the video is choppy when there is motion. The communication between the camera and the main unit cuts off your voice unless you give it a solid one two count before letting up the push to talk button. The pan function only works in the digital zoom so you can’t look at the entire room unless you have it positioned to see the entire room from one spot. Honestly, I would probably look for a different unit that has a motorized pan capability.

We got this to replace our pricey Motorola set when the cameras gave out. This set is fine, the picture quality isn’t quite as good but still works fine. Not being able to move the camera with the base seems like it would be a pain but hasn’t been a problem at all because of how we placed it. Contrary to most reviewed, we love the battery life of the parent screen. It lasts much longer than our Motorola. None of these bases last that long (a couple hours at best before plugging in) but this one lasts long enough after the kids go to bed but before we go to bed when we plug it in. Lower your expectations for long battery life and this one works great.
