Pattern Cutting Made Easy: A Step-by-Step Introduction

Even though I got this as a used book, it looks practically new. And it has helped me tremendously with pattern drafting. I recommend it to all who want an easy and clear instructions on how to draft a pattern.

By the end of this book, you will know how to draft patterns from scratch. The text is much simpler than the more advanced pattern drafting textbooks, and prepares you for the advanced books later on. I needed a good bodice and trouser draft and found them here.

This is a wonderful flat pattern cutting book, for the beginner or one who is a little more advanced. It’s like having the perfect reference guide to every sleeve or collar you may won’t to draft. I’m really glad I bought this book!

This book came in very clean like brand new and i absolutely love it. It’s also very similar to the pattern style i’m used to .

The illustrations in the book looks easy but the actual instructions on how to draft the patterns should be clearer. There isn't a body measurement chart included in the book either. I love looking through the book and have drafted the basic trouser and the basic bodice. I completed fashion design school about 2 years ago but have been sewing since I was a teenager. I have a lot of experience, so I know the book should have better instructions to go along with those good looking illustrations.

I am not a beginner nor an advance pattern cutter so this book is absolutely perfect for me. The instructions are so clear and easy to follow. It covers all the basics and some advanced patterns too. Probably one of the best books I've bought on Amazon and one I'll use for a long time. If you are just starting pattern cutting, this is the book for you.

Excellent book on drafting the bodice and skirt blocks using both imperial and metric measures. I've been looking for the book that taught the easy way to draft that I learnt as a teenager. After buying lots of books on the subject, I have finally found it. The only thing that I think the book is missing is how to combine the bodice and skirt block, or how to make dresses using just the bodice block.
