🌟 Dive Deep, Capture Bright!
The Underwater Housing Red Filter for GoPro HD Hero 3 enhances color accuracy in underwater photography, functioning best at depths of 10-75 feet. It is compatible with GoPro 3+ models but requires the GoPro 3 housing, which is sold separately.

Red Filter. A joke!
A piece of red plastic for a few $s?It came with instructions how to unscrew the lens cover with a screw driver I don't have and warnings about watch out if the seal does not seal correctly on refitting. It won't be easy to put in and out as it won't be needed all the time.On thinking about the way to red filter the camera I would rather a filter that fits onto front of the housing that fits snuggly, much like those that attach easily to ordinary camera lenses, or even one that could be snapped in place inside the housing that sits in front of the tiny lens when placing it into the camera waterproof housing. I will keep a look out for one of those.I don't feel like buying an extra housing to have teh red filter attached permanently!

May or may not be necessary...
If you're diving in clear shallow water, this filter is not necessary. The Hero 3 cam has good color correction on its own.If this filter is used alone, your pics and videos will come out red. When you use this filter on your camera, it must be paired with a strong diving light.

OVERPRICED plastic film
DON'T do as I did. I only looked at the picture and did not read past the first couple of lines of the product description. This is a thin piece of red film that has to be installed by UNSCREWING the housing and HOPING it seals back. they say to test the housing without the camera. This is OVERPRICED and INCONVENIENT for use. If you must have this you better purchase a separate housing to use on shallow dives because it is not easy to interchange. It gets one star because Amazon will not let me give it zeros stars.

Tiny piece of red plastic. About 1/2 cents to produce.
Just try to put this in place with big hands, or on a moving boat. If they charged 50 cents, maybe more stars.
