Yes, it´s tempered and chemically strengthened glass. Even though these glass files have been hardened, dropping the file from a height, bumping it against a hard surface, or placing it under heavy weight may lead to chipping and breakages, so please be careful when handling your glass file.

Q: Is the shiner heatproof? I want to paint it and the paint has to be heat set at 350°.
