Will the white tints still have the mottled, layered look that darker colors have? i'd like bm-oc151, but with more variation.

The variation in color takes place during the application process. When adding layers, you won’t apply it the exact same way as you did the first time which will create peaks and valleys. So, it will be darker in areas that have more depth and lighter in areas with less.

I need a Venetian plaster white like Carrara, firmolux said to buy splat white, but is little be cream…which white is very white like Carrara?

Splat White is natural Venetian plaster mixed with only white colorant, so it is the whitest this natural product will go. Any other of the whites will have other colorants in them, this is the only one that is all white.

would this be a good option to cover the wall and tile area of the firplace?

I have no idea if works on fireplaces. I used On countertops. You should google.

What is the best way to seal this plaster? Especially in a house with little kids.

There are two methods to protect the finish. One is using a sealer that protects against splashes and sticky fingers, and the other is wax. The wax is most popular, and I would suggest the spatula Wax that we sell here on Amazon. Thanks Tony
