NOTE: Not for puppies who might chew. Don’t leave unattended
Well duh! It says right up there in the description, not a chew toy. I thought my 4.5 month old mutt would be fine, since he is a licker. Unfortunately, he did chew some of the grids and corner off the first time.Listen , this product is awesome, it just simply isn’t durable enough for me to use it as a separation anxiety soother, which is why I purchased.Sam went right into his crate to enjoy it , no coaxing.Although he figured out chewing the soft silicone could lead to a bigger payday.Just watch your dog with it.

Maybe consider a couple of smaller mats
This is a great product and has paws up from my gsd. I initially used the peamutt butter but he doesn’t like it so now I have used cheese spread, pate and plain yogurt in 3 strips on the mat. You don’t need much on there to keep you dog amused for quite some time and freezing the mat makes it last longer. My dog is on crate rest following an injury and therefore I wish I had ordered a couple of smaller mats as this one does take up more space on the floor of the crate but we will still use it and I’m sure he will have it even once he is healed. I may buy a couple of smaller ones in addition and obviously they are perfect for smaller dogs!

perfect enrichment
long-lasting treat dispenser. My dogs love this because they get all manner of human and dog food alike and they never know what will be coming next. It takes them ages to clean off all the food and they are exhausted from the effort. Peace and quiet for a good half hour. Mine are power chewers though so I have to be ready to take away the mats as soon as they are done otherwise they start chewing them. Most difficult to clean of all the enrichment feeders I have because of the design but I put into soak straightaway and clean with a brush. I use for mashed banana or potato, cream cheese, quark is cheap as a plain accompaniment to something like banana, paste from a jar, peanut butter, tinned dog food or from a sachet. I don't necessarily use the whole surface. It holds quite a lot!

Brilliant, best pattern but warps
These are just brilliant. Keeps dogs busy for ages, this is the best pattern, I see they do it in a smaller size too.I've bought a few variants. One has a stronger back and can go in the top shelf of you dishwasher. These can't and will warp. What I'm a bit frustrated with is that I've had two of these that have warped on one edge/side I don't know why, I've not put them in the dishwasher. They're still useable but it's annoying and you can't really put food in the warped part. I don't know whether to return this again or not. That said I highly recommend them, but for dogs you know won't chew them, otherwise use only when you can watch them.

it is what it says it is, but the dog cant lick stuff out
it is what it says it is, but the dog cant lick stuff out of it so picks it up and shakes it about! food everywhere..the groves are short, close and rather more rigid than imagined its hard to be licked till clean. it is as advertised. It is easiest to clean by leaving it licky side down in the sink with an inch of water. Dont waste your time scrubbing as its a begger to get the stuff out. We have a gsd/rotty and she likes to lick.. everything, but she gets frustrated licking this and when the big stuff is gone she will grab it up in her mouth by wide biting the front and then shake shake shake .. i give her this in the garden now but have to supervise as when the bits have flown out she wants to kill the mat itself :D I gave it 3 starts because it is as it says it is but not brilliant so 3 being above ok!

Brilliant if you have well behaved dogs
These are brilliant mats.We have 3 dogs; two of them absolutely loved them. Took them around an hour to eat their evening meal (raw food). You can put quite a bit on them, each are fed 200g and 220g with added sardines and pumpkin puree.Once finished we rinsed them off and popped them in the dishwasher; we probably put them on too hot as they were slightly misshapen when we took them out, but still worked perfectly. I would highly recommend them!Unless of course you have a 9 month old Lab puppy who savagely attacks the mat to try and get his food up and when finished tries to eat the entire mat.Needless to say giving it to a puppy probably wasn't the brightest idea; user error!
