Wrangler Authentics Men's Classic Relaxed Fit Cargo Short

I bought these for my husband and absolutely love them on him! He liked them so much that I ended up buying three more pairs, and they are all currently in rotation in his summer wardrobe. They fit really well, look nice, and are comfortable enough for everyday wear. Safe to say these have become his go-to summer shorts!

Great shorts at a great price. As soon as they fit I bought a second pair. They fit perfectly.

I've been wearing Wrangler shorts for years, and I usually buy them at Target. However, Target didn't have the color that I wanted in my size, so I ordered from Amazon this time. I ordered two pairs of the British Khaki to start with, and both of them are identical - and nothing like what is pictured here. They are darker in color and more greenish brown than tan. Turns out, it's the same color that they had in my size at Target that I didn't want. It is what a number of my British Khaki dress pants looks like, so it's not improperly named...just improperly shown. As different companies have variations on that color, I went with what was pictured. I then ordered a pair of the Dark Putty, and they are as shown here. The fit at the waist, IMO, is spot on. The "tech pocket" is great for holding a smart phone, as least mine with a ~5" screen. The fabric is lightweight and comfortable, and I'm a big fan of shorts that hang down closer to my knees. I grew up in the era of short shorts, and now that I'm 43, I like them longer. I also really like that the back pockets don't have any buttons or Velcro like my other Wrangler cargo shorts have, as I often like to slip my phone into a back pocket while walking the pooch. With these, that's no problem. They still have the two front pockets with Velcro for more secure storage. All in all, I give the design five stars, but I docked them one star because both pairs of British Khaki that I ordered weren't as shown and weren't what I wanted. The Dark Putty is great, though.

The best shorts

like the title says, these were a little snug on me but not to the degree that i can’t wear them all day. it’s not painful or super tight. it has a lot of stretch to it so it helps a lot. the black is a solid deep black as well! matches so many outfits. love wranglers, their quality is always top notch. was unsure about if i was going to like these because i didn’t know the weight of them (i hate heavy shorts), but these are light enough that you don’t feel swamped but still noticeable. 10/10!

This review is for the 'Wrangler Authentics Men's Classic Relaxed Fit Cargo Short.' I LOVE that this style does NOT have elastic waistbands. I find those end up stretching out so much you get maybe one or two wearings before you must shrink them back down by washing. Wrangler shorts have been a go-to brand for me for over a decade: they're reasonably-priced, fit well, look good and last for five+ years. In my experience the Velcro wears out long before the material. Fit Note: I typically wear a 33 waist in pants from Levi's, Banana Republic, J. Crew and Eddie Bauer. I ordered that size in three colors: Dark Putty, British Khaki Twill & Military Ripstop. All fit as-expected except for the Dark Putty, which I returned as it felt maybe half-to-one size small. I don't know if this was due to a manufacturing variance, different plant, material or etc. If you're borderline between two sizes, you may want to order both and keep whichever fits best. Thanks to the 65/35 cotton/poly blend, I didn't notice any shrinkage after washing (warm with dryer on low).

Normally you get what you pay for but I think with these shorts you get more. These shorts are light for hot weather but not thin feeling. Fit is as expected for me. They’re not too baggy like some shorts. They’re definitely loose though. I like it because they don’t get restrictive like some shorts when you’re sitting down. My pair has a cell phone pocket on both sides, behind the cargo pocket. Super useful. It could be a bit deeper for my iPhone 7 but it works. If you’ve got a bigger phone it probably won’t fit. The cargo pockets don’t have gussets in them to make them hold stuff more comfortably like other Wrangler pants I own but this isn’t a big deal to me. The hand and back pockets are a good size. There was some loose threads when I got them but the stitching seems good. I’ve been wearing them non stop for a couple weeks and they are great!
