Ortho WeedClear Lawn Weed Killer Ready-to-Spray, 32 fl. oz.

My wife and I bought our first house together in March. 1/2 acre total, sandwiched close to two parks. Lot of animal and bird activity, therefore pollen. Started out with dandelions and clovers then mid summer got hit with a very fast crabgrass infestation. After treating all 3 with different products and at one point scorching my grass, let me share what I learned. The most important factor in fighting weeds that are blended in with grass is making sure it is safe for your grass type and do so by looking at the active ingredients. Second, use your smartphone camera and google search by photo your weed type. Many look identical but the key is some require different chemicals. For my application, this blend of quinclorac and 2,4D is perfect and the best part is it being less money than some other competitor’s products.

This stuff works! Spray per the directions & give it a few weeks. The clover that was taking over my yard is gone!! Compared to a professional service, what a steal!

I needed something I could use by myself. It said each container would treat 5000 sq ft. All I had to do was attach it to my water hose and spray. #1. It doesn't seem to cover 5000 sq ft. #2. The information I read on the product, said if the leaves on the top were hit, they would die. Nope. I applied as the bottle said, but even after waiting 3 1/2 weeks, there was nothing. So I planned to return it. Then a couple of days after asking to return it (2 days ago) I saw some things were beginning to die. But still not everything I sprayed is dying. But since a part of them are dying, I won't return the bottles for a refund. Not because it did a good job, but rather because I got some good from it, I don't think it would be honest to get a full refund. So I'm done with it. I'll try something else. Very disappointed in this product! It is clearly a black eye for Ortho, my favorite for outdoor use. It did not damage the grass.

Great product. Works great! Kills unwanted weeds in a very short time.

I used this product exactly as directed, but the performance was disappointing. The hose‑end application wasn’t very effective, and several types of weeds remained untouched even after waiting the recommended amount of time. Considering the price and the strong claims on the label, I expected much better results. In my experience, it didn’t deliver the weed control it promises.

This is the weed killer I’ve repurchased many times.

It works, but we use too much. It was our fault we didn’t read the directions.
