Can the tiny pads be glued onto the screw end?

The pads are to put on the rounded opposite end, which touches the back of the ear lobe. I guess you can glue anything to anything, but I don't know why you would use them on the screw part, which doesn't touch anything but your fingers. It would probably make the earring harder to grasp to turn the screw for tightening on the ear.

Do these work for studs?

I didn't have any studs. But I am sure it probably would work.

How do you apply the silicone pads?

I think you put them over the end that screws toward your ear. The indentation in the pads probably fits up against the metal part so it doesn't pinch your ear.

What's the difference between a and b style?

Hello, the way of wear between style a and style b are different. Thanks.
