I am a tried and true user of this mic stand. I bought it January 2021 and still use it as of September 2022. Here’s what I think you should know. -The stand is sturdy as could be. It got moved and pushed around almost every day for 20 months. It survived a move and even some kids playing with it. -The Velcro might seem like a way to tack on extra cost. It’s not. They send 3 pieces with is absolutely perfect (and needed) to hold your wire in place. -The vice grip is strong and has padding on the top side for your desk. I accidentally tore off half of it (not the products fault) and it still works perfectly as intended. -The range of motion can be limiting. But that isn’t unique to this specific product. It’s just due to it being 2 joint style stand. But die keep in mind that it is slightly difficult to pick the perfect spot for it because of this. -The way you hold it in position is by tightening these knobs at each elbow joint. I have never had an issue with them and they hold the stand perfectly fine in any position. However if you intend to move the mic stand in any way other than on the swivel, it will make a creaking sound. It’s quiet, but since it’s connected to your mic, there’s a good chance it will pick up that creaking. (Never been loud or obnoxious to friends online, however, maybe keep that in mind if you’re recording) Overall, this is what you’re looking for. I love this stand and I’ll use it until it breaks. And then I’ll edit this to tell you when/how.

UPDATE: Their CS reached out to me about sending a replacement that came the following day. I am updating my review to 5* for their great customer service and also, the previous arm, even with the random screw I threw in, has been treating me well. I would highly recommend! ---- I was excited to get this mic arm since my old Neewer one was wearing out and wouldn't hold well anymore at the base, but i was extremely disappointed to find a screw just randomly hanging loose off the elbow of the arm. I easily picked the screw off and noticed it was a snapped screw. The other end of it fell right off the moment I readjusted the arm to see if it could still function without it. Nope. The top half just falls. So as far as sturdiness goes: a horrible first impression. I didn't want to have to go through the hassle of returning the item so I went ahead and grabbed a new screw of the same thread at my place (but not length) and just reused its nut to secure the elbow into place. I deducted two stars for the broken elbow screw. Hopefully I'll have better luck with this thing over the next several years. Onto other details though: the arm itself doesn't screw into the base and nothing screws into it; it just plops right in, but I like that because it won't wear out like my last mic arm from trying to turn it even just the slightest bit. Although, I thought the whole arm would lift right off if I lifted the arm up a bit for readjustment but it stays seated. That's a positive. Now for stability: my mic doesn't bring the arm down so I'll give that another plus. I'll also adjust the arm back and forth and side to side and the arm stays in place. It's much easier to move back and up in contrast to my last stand since moving my mic up on my last stand would lift the arm right off the base because the area the screw would tighten over had worn down so much. I'll possibly update this review after a while of using this thing, but for now, it'll be 3* for the first impressions.

For the price, I was taken aback at how well Tonor's Studio Boom Arm functions. I finally replaced my mic stand which was just ridiculously difficult to work with in the position I needed to use my mic (see pic). I can't believe I didn't pick this up long ago, but I am glad I waited for a Black Friday deal and that Tonor had another shot at the design (apparently the older version had build issues). Tonor includes the very much needed Velcro straps to hold your mic cord in place so you can run it along the arm which is a very genius addition. As a result, I have a very clean cable run without having to use zip ties which would have been terrible. The build quality is solid. The clamp works very well, is stable, and I love that I can stow my cans now and free up space on my desk. Since I am a V/O talent and a vocalist, I can sit to do my V/O and then stand and adjust the mic for singing. The ONE thing I would recommend Tonar improve upon is the pop filter connection to the adjustable arm. There is no hinge like I'm used to with my old Popper Stopper so you really have to work it to get it to bend to the right position in front of the mic. I had to really work at this to get the right positioning. A hinge would eliminate the struggle, allowing the screen to be swiveled to the proper position in front of the mic. Overall though, this is a GREAT and NECESSARY accessory for any studio that does podcast work, or even vocal work where you need to have a mic close to your computer keyboard/DAW.

Update (5/13/22): So I came across this review and decided hey why not update!! Well it is about 1.5 years later and guess what, still working from home, still doing Twitch here and there, and most importantly STILL using this boom arm. I work 8 hours a day and this holds my mic through all of it. No issues, nothing has broke, and I still recommend. That's all. Original Review: So I do some Twitch streaming but mainly I am a work from home employee that does software training and taking virtual calls LITERALLY every single day for many hours. I had a Blue Yeti Blackout that I love BUT sitting it right in front of me on its normal stand was a pain and I couldnt get close enough without hunching over all day, but I didn't want to pay big $$ for a Boom. When I came across the Tonor T20 for sale for $19.99 I thought 1) This cant be any good and 2) Eh I get free 1 day shipping with my Prime and worst case I'm out $20. Now that I have it set up I cant believe it was only $20. To be clear this is the first Boom I've owned but it holds my Yeti, the shock mount, and I have a hanger for my G935's under my desk now (I had been shopping for a hanger for under my desk and just that was going to run me $10-$20) and does exactly what I wanted in much more expensive options. I did take a star off on adjustability because sometimes making small adjustments is a little tough but that is also due to me having everything tight to hold my Yeti secure so really cant fault the Boom for this. So whether you are a new Streamer, or work from home employ with a big mic, get this is you want a Boom that is secure and feature rich for the price. Honestly, Tonor the fact you are selling this for $20 right now is incredible!!! Alternative cost I had been looking at: Boom: $99.99 Hanger: $14.99 Pop Filter: $15.99 Total = $130.97 Got all the above with the T20 on sale for $19.99. That's all thank you for reading!! I use this with my Rode podmic. It works great for me and I’ve tried a bunch of other brands (Neewer etc) and this one is by far the best bang for your buck. I’ve even compared this to the PSA1 and although the PSA1 is a clear winner... this is a fraction of that price.... if you’re going budget, choose this one, seriously. I give it 4 stars only because of the lack of motion. Let me share my thoughts. Pros: -build quality is amazing, seriously. The feet is nice and heavy and the pentagonal design makes it sit very nice on a desk when clamped. Very sturdy -love the added headphones rack -comes with nice accessories and I love cable management ties!!! -also the screw adapter is nice if you have different kinds of mics Cons: -It doesn’t extend forward very well, unlike the blue compass or rode PSA1 which can be used opposite the speaker. This means you have to have a shallow desk. No problem for me.. but if you’re using a conference table, this might be a problem for you. -if you want to clamp it on the side of a desk, it works, but you definitely have to jimmy the arm around to get it to fit just right. Again, the major thing missing is the lack of forward extension and that hurts the performance of the stand -the turn knobs are plastic. Everything is metal, why couldn’t they make the knobs plastic? I sincerely wished it was because sometimes I feel I’m breaking it...no issues yet, but be careful

I recently picked up the Audio Technica 2020 podcast kit and was disappointed with the boom arm, I have several others that I use in my studio but the one that came with the 2020 was just not cutting it and within a few minutes of installing this arm, everything clicked! First the footer, most arms have a very small base, I have a curved edge on my table, the small base of the arm included with the AT2020 could never get tight enough to be solid on my desk. This mic features a very large (by comparison) base that really holds it all in place. Next the Audio Technica arm has a series of screws and nuts that keep things in place, these have to be tightened and in most cases don't really hold the arm in the position you need it to be. This arm is a lot more sturdy and also has thumb screws to keep things in place. The springs on this arm also have much better tension, the arm really stays put and also moves around to where you need it to be much easier. If you order, make sure you have cables, this one does NOT come with any mic cables but then you should already have them anyway. Overall great buy for a great price, I've used it on my RE20 and AT2020 as well as my Stellar X2 with no issue or sag, highly recommend!

I used it for a while, and I really liked it. I had some difficulty finding a good spot on my desk for it, and couldn't get the screws tight enough so that it wouldn't occasionally sag after some movement. Other than that, it did all I needed it to do! It definitely held my Blue Yeti.

The moment I pulled it out of the box I immediately was happy. Yes, the packaging was sturdy and designed to protect well, but we all know nobody reading this cares about that, so I'll move along. The main components themselves felt solid. Nothing was loose or showing signs of immediately concerning quality issues in the least. It's heavy but not cumbersome, so perfect feel, really. The joints and Springs move when needed but don't feel like they're seized up but also maintain the position you want. Tightening and un-tightening is fine because of the sold set-pegs (or whatever the technical term for the, like, butterfly screws is) that it has. This bring me to the articulation capability of this and it's fantastic. Basically, any which way I needed it to move so I could have it hold the mic where I needed it, it allowed for. The base is, funnily, the thing I nerded the most out about. It's phenomenal at maintaining a solid, non-anxiety-inducing flimsy hold like the other boom stand clamps I've had in the past. It fits on my desk perfectly and securely and even works despite that it has a bar that runs at an annoying placement an inch or so in from the edge along the underside. Very pleased with that. So, yea. highly recommend.

La verdad estuve cazando un rato y comparando muchas listas de cuales eran los mejores brazos, este gana por mucho en la calidad precio, está excelente, el material se siente super firme en comparación con el anterior que tenía, se le dobló el metal Y se ve bien, hay unos que son más caros y mejores, pero se duplica el precio, definitivamente vale la pena como solución a largo termino, no compren baratos

The Tonor studio boom arm is a good and sturdy product. The build quality feels solid, and it fits perfectly on almost any table. It holds the microphone well and does the job properly for recording or streaming setups. The only issue is the connection at the base. It could have been tighter, as it tends to move slightly instead of staying completely fixed in one position. A more secure base connection would have made it perfect. Overall, it’s a good product and worth considering for the price.

El brazo es justo lo que dice que es. El tema es solo la parte en donde va encajado en el soporte, ya que le queda chica y tiembla. El remedio es hacer mas gruesa esa parte y queda muy bien. Lo recomiendo mucho por como es la base que se ajusta al escritorio.
