Sauce-Serving Excellence
We use these aaaaalllll the time to serve sauces, dips, condiments, syrups, small portions of toppings, etc. alongside the meals we make and they have held up beautifully. I was worried they'd be cheap or rust with repeated washing, but neither has been the case after about a year of heavy use. I put them in the top rack of the dishwasher sometimes and haven't had a problem with rust or warping. Quality-wise, these are on par with what you'd find at a restaurant for condiments (my clepto friend actually asked me if I swiped them from a restaurant, bless her). Size-wise, they probably hold about 3 tablespoons or so - just the right size for dipping. I'm so glad we got them as we've been getting a lot of use from them. They're great for kids also in that they prevent sauce from touching the food, which as we all know can be a very very chest-clutchingly big deal to a 5 year old. Totally recommend these.P.S., I'm stumped at a small number of reviewers who have mentioned rust, but I did notice that the rust in their photos appears to be on the bottom of the cups. Since these are stackable for storage, make SURE they're always completely dry before stacking and storing them. If there is moisture trapped tightly between the cups with no way to evaporate, I could see the potential for rust.

Just the right size.
I have a two year old that likes to use dipping sauces but refuses to eat foods that touch the sauce before she dips. We tried using dishes we already had but she still managed to do things like pushing sauce off the edges of plates, turning over flimsy plastic containers, and we wasted a lot using small glass bowls that were really too big for just sauce. These containers have been the perfect solution. They are just heavy enough that they don't tip easily, hold enough sauce for a whole meal, have a large enough opening for dipping, clean up easily, and won't break when dropped.I've also started using them for little things I didn't anticipate, like hold small amounts of seasoning to be added during cooking, melting butter, holding just the right amount of finger paint, and lots of other little things both in and out of the kitchen. I'm even more pleased than I thought I'd be with these.

Perfect for Medication
I ordered these because I have nursing care almost around-the-clock and take medications at various times. The nurses put my medication in paper cups which I got tired of buying. For some reason, I always found them hard to find.I remembered using stainless steel cups at restaurants for cocktail sauce and the like. I recalled that they were about the same size so I went looking around Amazon. Stainless steel medicine cups are almost $8 per cup. OUTRAGEOUS! However, stainless sauce cups are about 12 for the same price as one medicine cup. I figured that the the repurposed sauce cups would work just fine for medication. Everyone happy.

Starting to rust...
I'm a bit shocked -- after only a few weeks, some of these have started to rust on the bottom. Stainless steel shouldn't rust, so something is odd.

Perfect if you are looking for a bunch of quality stainless steel dipping bowls.
These sauce cups have a hefty feel to them and do not feel cheep. I can't remember why I purchased them, but if I ever actually need a cup to hold sauce, these would be perfect for dipping french fries in Ketchup or maybe a soft pretzel in mustard. I tend to use them as miniature prep bowls to hold spices when I am cooking. They wash up nicely in the dishwasher.
