I love the design of this lock, the way it tucks out of the way and it's very easy to use and put back, and looks nice. But i've lost two in the last 6 months because the latch didn't keep the lock fastened and it fell off somewhere along my route. When the first one fell off, I ordered the identical lock, but went ahead and replaced the holder, even though the first one was still in place and seemed functional. But the second lock fell off within a month, and I had never even removed it from the holder to use it in that time. I'm still debating whether to try again or replace it with a different brand or design. UPDATE: Seller reached out and offered a refund - I went ahead and replaced it with the same product. I've mounted this one horizontally on the bike instead of vertical so there will be less pressure on the latch, but this new one seems tighter with less play than the first one. Still love the design. In case you don't find instructions for your new lock, you just set the combination to 0000 (the default code) and open the lock. There's a ridged circular dial inside - just turn it about a quarter turn, change the numbers to something you'll remember, then turn the dial back to it's original setting. That's all that's needed to change the combination. Close the lock and spin the dials and it should be locked. Set it to your new numbers and it should open.

Appears sturdy and well-made. Mounting bracket useless as it requires an open tube to attach to. But it's made of plastic so would likely break off anyway. Easy enough to simply wrap cable around frame for transit.

Needed a bike lock for our new ebikes. I originally got the key one and before I knew it I lost both keys. This lock was reasonably priced. It was really easy to use. Like the thickness of the wire I feel more comfortable with the security. It does have a solid feel and the 4ft is plenty of length to secure our bike. Really like how you have a clip to attach to your bike so you dont have to haul it around, just clip it and it's always there. Very pleased.

I love this item! The pink is so cute and it looks exactly like the photo. I thought it would be hard to put on, but it’s very easy! I didn’t use the anchor thingy to put on my bike so idk if that works or not. Overall I love it so much❤️

DO NOT GET THESE!!! I have had two different situations. The first, the lock combination stopped working and there was no way to unlock the bike. Fortunately it was just locked at my house so I took a grinder to the cable and got my bike free. But there was no reason the lock should have not worked. Then my son's new bike was just stolen because they broke the lock easily in half. So they're not durable enough to withstand someone simple snapping the lock off the bike. Look for something that is more durable and trustworthy. I'm lucky I've only lost one bike with this since I have them for 6 other bikes. Trust me, I'm going shopping for new locks for all of the bikes before I lose another bike. Unfortunately, I've already lost my most expensive bike before learning this lesson. POS!

I bought this lock because I recently started using my bike more often and needed something reliable to leave it outside without worrying too much. No lock is impervious to a thief but this is one of the better security devices for the money. Depending on the value of your bike, a layered defense is the best option. GPS, alarm, two types of locks and location are all to be taken into consideration. Bikes are very easy to steal, often less than a minute.
