Astonishing Results!!!
I just received The Ghost Meter last week and upon the 2nd day I re-visited a home that was having some very strange activity. Earlier this summer, I was a guest in this home and sometime around midnight one evening, my friend and I heard a rather loud noise coming from the kitchen of the early 1900's home. We rushed out to see what it was and we found the coffee maker running with nothing in it--no coffee grounds and no water. It was plugged in, however, and came on by itself--or did it??? My friend then showed me an app on his iphone called "Ghost Radar" and I was quite intrigued. One of the words that came up on this program was "Florida", I then jokingly said to my friend--"maybe he read my license plate on my vehicle as I am from Florida. The next word spoken was "perhaps". At this point I was taken by surprise and wondered if there were actually such things as ghosts. All of us at one time or another have experienced strange and unexplainable occurrences during our lifetime, and this was certainly one of them.A couple of months later, I was watching one of the ghost hunter programs on tv, but being somewhat skeptical at the same time, I saw The Ghost Meter being used. I said to my wife, maybe there is more to this "ghost chasing" hobby that so many are obsessed with lately. I ordered The Ghost Meter immediately and re-visited this home the next day for 3 nights total. Each night after all were in bed, I pulled out this Ghost meter, turned down the volume totally so as not to disturb anyone and went on a "ghost hunt". Let me first point out that only strong EMF's will make this meter go off, or you must be very near an electronic or electrical source to activate it.I then opened the kitchen/basement door and proceed down four steps of the 1st landing of the "wooden basement stairs". Suddenly, the Ghost Meter lit up wildly while being placed center point between 2 walls three feet apart! I then went down the second set of "wooden stairs" to the basement and waved this meter everywhere I could. There were no further readings since the 1st reading at the top of the stairs, until I approaced a doll house. There, the meter lit up from the basement floor to approximately 3 feet high and stopped. I then continued toward another area where there were childrens toys and got a similar reading in a corner wall area. On the second night, I repeated the entire scan with the meter and got no readings at all in any of those areas until I returned to the stairwell and got readings at a very low point to the steps themselves. As the stairs are exposed underneath, I scanned under them as well (putting the meter right up to the backside of the steps) and got nothing! WOW, this was so strange. As I returned to the stairwell and scanned the steps (topside of steps) I again was getting readings low to the steps themselves. Then, upon reaching the top of the steps by the kitchen door, I was getting a reading against one of the walls. This wall has a closet behind it so I scanned inside of this closet (up to that very wall) and nothing! On the 3rd night, I again repeated the same scan and got a hit near the dollhouse again, but also in another area of the toy room that did not set off the meter in my 2 previous scans. I then went back to the top of the stairs and was getting all sorts of readings, and, in particular, I scanned a reading that stood at least 6 feet tall on the top of the stairs. The day that we were leaving, I quietly scanned the stairs again, and as I was scanning, I kept saying under my breath--"What is it??? What's causing these readings? I then turned back around to an area that I had just scanned, scanned it again--it was gone! No reading. There are no electrical wires, panels or appliances in any of the areas that would affect the meter in any way. I tried my very best to prove that these readings were being caused by items or electrical currents in the household--I could not! When we left this house, we proceded to another home that has also had strange activity. I scanned the entire home several times (before nighttime, however) and turned up absolutely nothing. Only the refrigerator from the kitchen with it's back up against one wall of the bedroom (the wall separates the bedroom and the kitchen). You may draw your own conclusions about my article, or you may dismiss it as all hogwash. I only know what my conclusion is thanks to the Ghost Meter. And, even if you do not wish to hunt spirits, it's a great tool for checking EMF's around your home. I'am glad I bought it! Good luck and happy hunting!

My son's favorite birthday present!
My son is nine years old and fascinated with all things ghostly. He and his friends are very excited to have a REAL Ghost Meter EMF sensor. Even though our house is new construction on old farm land, it is actually teeming with ghostly energy, according to this meter. Usually the ghosts seem to inhabit areas around lamps, or other electronic machinery like televisions, or refrigerators. My son is very convinced there are ghosts in the fridge.I can only assume that our home is built on some native burial ground or perhaps some caveman battlefield where hundreds of Homo sapiens died at the talons of Tyranosaurus Rexes for there to be so many spirits in what would seem like empty farm land - but who knows what happened here hundreds or even hundreds of thousands of years ago? I mean, who am I to question the scientific evidence that this meter provides? In all seriousness, this does a great job of showing where there is Electro Magnetic Fields and as others have pointed out, it may alert you to some fields that might be causing you problems in your home. Try putting this in front of an old CRT computer monitor that we used to sit in front of all day long and wonder what that might have done to your innards! It is nicely labeled and should please any amateur ghost hunter or a budding electronic field analyzer as well. Nicely constructed, works well and gets five stars from me for not being ridiculously expensive either. Great gift!

The best EMF Meter for Paranormal Investigating.
This little device is a MUST HAVE for paranormal investigators starting out in the field. By far the cheapest of the commercially available EMF detectors, the Ghost Meter does come with pros and cons that could affect you buying it.Pros:The CostEase of UseThe red indicatorFalse PositivesThe On/Off SwitchFirst and foremost, the cost of this device at roughly $20 is nothing compared to the $100 average of most EMF detectors. For someone interested in the paranormal but doesn't have the financial backing of a professional team, this device is perfect for you. The ease of use also is a contributing factor when it comes to new investigators to the paranormal. There are no advanced settings, complicated numbers, or button combinations necessary to get this device working. Press On and it starts working right away. The red indicator on the top of the device is handy for a few different things, but the best use of this light is for a stationary EMF meter with a camera fixed on it. Simply place the meter in a room or hallway with a camera pointing at it and anything spiritual that passed by it will illuminate the meter which is easily seen on your video playback. False positives are actually extremely easy to produce with some of these meter, but the Ghost Meter doesn't seem to have that problem. Like most digital number driven meters, simply shaking the device will cause the digital meter to show elevated EMFs and potentially fake evidence. Why would you shake an EMF meter you ask? What do you think happens to it while you're walking around? Multiple different meters found to be marketed to paranormal teams have this fault where walking with the device can trigger an elevated reading. The Ghost Meter's needle may bounce while walking with it, but the red light doesn't flash even if the needle goes beyond the green. Only an EMF will cause the red indicator to go off, something that sets this device apart from the others. Lastly, the on/off switch is one of the better switches when it comes to EMF meters. Unlike the K2 with a loose switch, the Ghost Meter's switch cannot be manipulated to produce false positives and requests you to intentionally press it to turn it on/off.Cons:The batteryThe needleThe battery used in this device is a 9v, and while a lot of people don't consider that a bad thing there are a large number that do. 75% of equipment used by paranormal investigators used AA batteries and a very small amount use AAA. While a 9v battery does last longer than the average AA battery (or like most equipment x2 AA batteries), the cost of purchasing multiple 9v batteries over buying AA batteries in bulk can inconvenience new paranormal investigators. Lastly, the needle on the Ghost Meter isn't the greatest as detecting small changes in the surrounding EMF. While digital devices can tell you when a 0.5 increase occurs, the Ghost Meter will only tell you when the EMFs reach 1 through the red indicator. Anything under 1 and precisely over 1 is up to the investigator and their flashlight to determine. The reason a flashlight is needed is because the needle and numbers on the display lack the necessary lighting to be able to read them. You can slightly make out the position of the needle through the light emitted from the On/Off button but that is only because the housing is a clear plastic and it isn't very reliable. All in all, I rated this device a 4 because for the money it can't be beat. Is there better you there? Of course, but if you want the best equipment you're going to pay for the best equipment. This device has a long history of successfully capturing evidence with it and continues to be the official EMF meter of most teams.
