Crystal Clear Water & Healthy Pond Ecosystem
Maintaining a healthy and visually stunning pond can be a constant challenge, especially when battling algae and cloudy water. After much research, I decided to invest in the VIVOHOME Pressurized Biological Pond Filter with 13-watt Light, 1580 GPH Suitable for Koi Ponds up to 800 Gallons or Ornamental Ponds up to 1600 Gallons, and it has truly exceeded every expectation! My pond has never looked this good. The pressurized biological filtration is the backbone of this unit. It effectively removes harmful toxins and maintains a balanced ecosystem, which is crucial for the health of my fish and plants. I've noticed a dramatic improvement in water quality โ it's incredibly clear, allowing me to fully appreciate the vibrant colors of my koi. The integrated 13-watt UV light is a game-changer for algae control. Before this filter, I struggled with green water, but the UV light zaps away free-floating algae, keeping my pond sparkling. This combination of biological filtration and UV sterilization provides comprehensive water purification that's hard to beat. With a 1580 GPH flow rate, this filter handles a substantial volume of water with ease. It's perfectly matched for my 700-gallon koi pond, and I can see why it's recommended for koi ponds up to 800 gallons and ornamental ponds up to 1600 gallons. The power and efficiency are truly impressive. Installation was surprisingly straightforward, and the unit itself feels very robust and well-made. Cleaning is also much simpler than previous filters I've owned, which is a huge plus. If you're a pond owner looking for a powerful, reliable, and highly effective filtration system that delivers crystal clear water and promotes a healthy aquatic environment, the VIVOHOME Pressurized Biological Pond Filter is an absolute must-have. It's an investment that pays off daily in the beauty and vitality of your pond. I couldn't be happier with this purchase!

Game-Changer for Pond Owners โ Crystal Clear Water in 24 Hours!
I canโt say enough good things about the VIVOHOME Pressurized Biological Pond Filter with UV Light. After struggling with murky, algae-filled water for weeks, this filter completely turned things aroundโand fast. Within 24 hours of installation, the transformation was incredible. What was once a cloudy green mess is now crystal clear water, and I can finally see my fish again! They seem happier too, swimming around visibly for the first time in ages. Setup was a breeze. The instructions were straightforward, and connecting it to our existing pump system took no time at all. Everything fit well, and the entire unit feels sturdy and well-built. Itโs compact enough to be tucked out of sight but powerful enough to handle the job with ease. The UV light feature is what truly makes the difference. It started killing off algae immediately, and unlike some filters that take days or weeks to show improvement, this one delivered fast and dramatic results. Our algae problem is now completely under control, even in full summer sun. Another feature I really appreciate is how easy the unit is to maintain. The clear water port makes it obvious when itโs time to backwash, so thereโs no guesswork involved. The backwashing process itself is super simple and takes just a few minutes. I also like that itโs a pressurized system, so we could place it below the water level and still get excellent flow. If youโre dealing with a murky pond, algae overgrowth, or just want a low-maintenance filtration system that actually works, I highly recommend this one. Itโs well worth the investment. The water has never looked better, and it brings so much more enjoyment to our pond area now that we can see the fish and enjoy a clean, balanced ecosystem.

Great pond filter that works quickly
Really happy with this filter! Had a small Koi pond for 4 years and have struggled to keep it clear with a small, simple submerged filter box. Was hard and gross to clean the submerged filter box, had to be done numerous times a week when water was really dirty, and still didnโt get the water super clear or anything close to this filter. This filter got my pond as clear as itโs ever been after 1 night. Cleaning filters with the crank is a breeze. Set up was pretty easy. Just little work to get things sealed properly and instructions were a little unclear for the o-ring placement, so that took some figuring out. First picture is day I got the filter and had just it set up. Pond was actually decent at the time because I had been regularly cleaning the old submerged filter box (few times a week). Second picture and video is after a full day of running this new filter. Looks amazing and so pleased!

Great filter - adapters so-so.
Filter itself works great. After about a year, I needed to replace the UV bulb - was never able to put the new one in without the bulb compartment flooding and tripping the GFCI. So, I don't use the UV light anymore. Biggest complaint is the adapters. The sizes are slightly off from true inch based sizes - like they're a metric attempt at an equivalent for inches. And the little O rings don't seal very well, either. Had to use silicone to get a good seal.

NO LONGER HAPPY WITH THIS FILTER--SAVE YOUR MONEY AND BUY SOMETHING DIFFERENT!!
We use this for our 250-gallon koi and goldfish pond, and it does a great job. I will say that the hot summer we are having is producing a LOT of algae, which tends to overwhelm the filter elements, and that necessitates pulling the filter elements out and washing them with a garden hose sprayer. I wish it was an easier task to get the filter elements out, but it is what it is. Edited to add: well, I am no longer happy with this filter. I have had to replace the UV light and replace the filter elements. AND, for some reason, I can no longer turn the diversion valve, i.e. to flush the filter elements and use the resulting water for flowers in our garden. Because it is doing such a lousy job, we have to clean the pre-filter on the submerged pump about every other day, or the flow goes down to a trickle. I will be ordering a new filter today.

GREAT FILTER
I have fought for years to get my pond at least somewhat clear. I have plants, fish and frogs in it. With this filter, after 14 days i can see the bottom of my pond. Extremely happy with this filter.

If you have a Koi pond, this is a must!
I built a 300 gallon koi pond last year and populated it with 5 medium sized koi (about 6-8 inches). The pond got murky and turned brown, like tea color. It is next to large maple trees and is always in the shade. i think rainwater filtering down the leaves stained it brown? I went to a pond shop and the guy said an external filter (like this one, but the one he had was $225) could help. I wish he said it definitely would solve the issue, instead of phrasing it like a suggestion. We ended up just doing a complete water change and still using our little fountain pump with the in-line filter box. We actually ended up doing 3 water changes that year. This year, after the ice melted, I noticed the liner was covered in algae. And then the whole pond turned cloudy green. I did a partial water change and added sludge clearing enzymes/bacteria, but the pond never cleared. Then one of our koi died, due to mouth rot. After researching, I noticed a lot of Koi message boards said to use an external filter with UV. I got this and it cleared up the pond in 2 days. On the 3rd day, the water was crystal clear, all the way to the green algae-covered liner. But, alas, another of our Koi died, with some sort of mouth disease or trauma - the lower jaw was broken. I am not sure if bad water led to an infection that deteriorated the jaw or not. The other 2 were fine and are still fine (the 5th one we lost last year due to damages to its tail by something). This thing just works. It keeps the pond crystal clear. As a bonus, the backflush valve position can be used to drain the pond with the pump. Last year I used HD buckets to manually bucket empty the pond. It makes partial water changes a breeze, which may not be needed if you have a healthy balance of plants (water plants don't last in our pond due to it being constantly in shade). My one minor complaint is that the sponge cleaning mechanism doesn't do a great job. There is a gear on one side where you attach a handle. As you turn the handle, it rotates the filter sponges against a rod. This theoretically "scrubs" the sponges, but it only acts on the outer edge and the main parts of the sponges stay dirty. After two months of use, I took it apart to thoroughly clean the sponges (there are 4 inside, 2 yellow and 2 blue).

6 months and going great!
I had a smaller pond with a filter that had to be fished out and taken apart to clean. It was a smelly and dirty process, and always a struggle to get the hoses reattached. I looked at this one for a long time while deciding on improving my set up. I was concerned because of the reviews that stated there was a possible leak issue. I work from home and visit my pond multiple times a day and because I liked the set up, I decided to give it a try. The set up was easy. Cleaning is so much easier. I spin the filter at least weekly and take it apart and hose it out monthly, and take it apart and deep clean quarterly. Havenโt had any trouble with leakage, or anything else. My pond stays clean, my fish stay happy, and I donโt have to spend an hour or two cleaning it every 2 weeks like my old one. Iโm very happy with this filter and if something happens to it I will probably get another one just because itโs so easy and the set up is exactly what I wanted.

The perfect filter for your pond
Easy as pie to hook up , literally out of the box connect hoses plug in the uv light and fire up the pump. Pond was clear from cloudy in an hour and has stated that way since onset. Its so nice to have a crystal clear plond again with no miss and no fuss. Replacement uv lights are easy to find as well as replacement filters to which there are 4 making two fine filters and two course. It also has room for bio balls at the bottom for a perfect biological filter as well

Service and parts are impossible to procure
This is the best filter I have ever owned. I has worked unbelievably good until it didn't. The UV light stopped working. I went to the manual, which does not list part numbers. So I went to the email that was listed for support, to try to get a parts list, or a part number for the uv light. Got nothing but useless canned crap. Finally read q&a and found a source for the uv light. Bought six, plugged it in and bupkiss! There is no power to the bulb. It appears that after only 1 year, even though I brought it in for the entire winter, the ballast is shot. So I have been trying to find a way to get hold of Amazon, to let them know I have an issue, that needs to be resolved before we lose all of our fish! There is no way to contact Amazon customer service, with this issue, that I can find. I am going to lose all of my fish, and I am really pissed! VivoHome is useless and apparently, so is Amazon! I have had a pond for 15 years. I have had to replace many uv lights. I have never seen a filter that the ballast or something else has blown so quickly! I have been fighting, trying to rectify the problem quickly, and I simply have no idea how o resolve my problem. Frustrated, angry and extremely disappointed!
