Best small fan ever.
These fans are awesome, I have purchased several over the years. All still work. Moves a lot of air and are very quiet. You can rotate the center section to direct air flow. From vertical to horizontal to dry a flow. Ideal to blow under a vehicle as you work on it. Keeps you cool and mosquito free. Bonus is two outlets on the side. Easy way to recharge your batteries. 10 amp max load.

Great fan. Strong air output, well made.
Our bedroom faces East, and gets blasted by the Sun for a good five or six hours. We have a pretty good portable air conditioner, but the room felt like the hot box on the Bridge on the River Kwai, even with the a/c running continuously. We needed something to circulate the cold air coming from the a/c, as the stream of air coming out of it isnโt very powerful (though it is nice and cool.) We were so desperate for a respite from the heat we hung a thick blanket over the entire window, to block out as much Sun and heat as possible. That helped a bit, but wasnโt enough to make our Easy Bake Oven bedroom comfortable. Sleeping was difficult, to say the least. We researched fans on Amazon, and this one got good reviews. But there was a problem; this fan was out of our budget. We are both on fixed incomes, and have to watch every dollar. But we really didnโt want to buy another big box store fan that would work for four months, then conk out. And we wouldnโt be finding a fan powerful enough to make a difference at the low price points of big box store fans. Happily, this fan was available on a payment plan. (Thank you, Amazon!!!) We counted the hours till it arrived, as we were very tired of feeling like rotisserie chickens rotating beneath those red light bulbs. We plugged it in, and tried it out. Let me tell you- the lowest setting on this fan is stronger than the highest setting of air output of any fan we have ever tried. The medium setting is VERY powerful. As for the highest setting- I was leaning down with my face in the stream of air to test it, and I thought my eyelashes were going to blow off. And that is a good thing! Finally, a fan that was REALLY going to make a difference! And- it really does make a difference. We have the fan on top of the a/c unit, with the output nozzle pulled all the way down, so the stream of air from the fan is very close to the stream of air from the a/c. We have had over a month of 90+ days, and this fan has been a life saver. We try not to run the a/c at night to save money, and the fan is strong enough to keep us both pretty cool. That is, a whole LOT cooler than we were before we bought it! Sleep, thank goodness, is possible again. And the combo of fan + a/c cools the room down almost instantly, whereas before, it took at least 1/2 hour for the a/c to reduce the dense cloud of heat in that stuffy room. As we knew we would be running the fan often, and with it being a higher-priced appliance, we bought the 3 year protection plan to go with it for peace of mind. If you are tired of fans that seem they will really cool off a room but end up being wimpy, we *highly* recommend this fan. One thing: it can get loud, especially at the two highest settings. For us, itโs not uncomfortably loud. Itโs a โoh I can hear a fan goingโ kind of loud. The comfort the fan provides is such a happy relief the sound level of it running is not a deal breaker at all. So for us, the fanโs volume is not a problem. If you are on the fence about trying this fan, you should absolutely go for it. With the weather seemingly on course to be uncomfortably hot from now on for a large portion of the year, and having to endure months of 90 degree temperatures, this fan is REALLY coming in handy, and we are glad we purchased it. Thank you!

Amazing portable fan
Works wonders. Strong power and extra long cord. And able to plug in 2 other items on the side without changing the powerful blower of the fan. Absolutely love it. It goes everywhere indoors and outdoors. Camping tractor pulls or on the deck. Keeps you cool and also the flies or mostiqutoes away. For it being light weight and not extremely loud. Its small enough to bring just about any where. We love u can point it up or down and in-between. Amazing fan. I would definitely buy it again.

High velocity fan is surprisingly quiet with cool air movement felt across good-sized room.
After trying 5 fans that did not cool me enough sitting 3 ft. from it & were advertised to cool a whole room, today 2 Lasko high velocity portable fans were delivered which I'm trying out now. Totally effective air flow from hallway into living room. At first my 12-pound Maltipoo did not tolerate the direct air so I lowered the power to 2 & raised the head to 4 ft. off the floor to cool me but avoid her. Perfect. Any adjustment like this can personalize this fan to your needs. I bought 2 to use in 2 rooms that we frequent instead of cooling my 7-room home with AC. My next month's power bill will tell whether this is an effective money saver. AI says it is not, but I have turned up my AC to 80 & want to see if it runs less in Mesa,AZ with the Lasko high velocity fans, running only 1 fan at a time. Will update this review in 3 months & report honest findings. Set up was too easy: Remove from bubble wrap bag, pull plastic wrap off barrel, remove tie from cord & plug in. That's it. It is sturdy, small & tucks easily into any spot.

Good fan
Itโs smaller than I thought but itโs very powerful. Definitely worth the money, it keeps my spacious living room cool. Itโs also very easy to move from room to room

Total Game Changer for Hot Sleepers and White Noise Lovers!
Don't let the "utility/garage" look fool youโthis is hands-down the best bedroom fan I have ever owned. If you are a hot sleeper or just need a strong breeze and steady white noise to sleep, this is worth every penny. Powerful, Direct Airflow: Unlike standard circular fans that just chop up the air, this blower style shoots a concentrated beam of high-velocity air. You can pivot the front barrel up or down to bounce the air off the wall or ceiling for perfect, indirect circulation, or point it straight at the bed on a scorching summer night. The Perfect White Noise: If you need sound to sleep, this thing is a dream. It has a deeper, smooth, jet-engine-like hum rather than the annoying, high-pitched plastic clicking of cheap box fans. Speed 1 is plenty for a strong breeze with steady background noise, while Speed 3 feels like a wind tunnel (and sounds like a commercial white noise machine). Bonus Features: The compact footprint fits perfectly in a bedroom corner, and the built-in accessory outlets on the side are incredibly convenient for plugging in a phone charger or a bedside lamp. It's rugged, durable, and easily out-performs any traditional tower or pedestal fan. If you need serious air movement to stay cool, buy this immediately!

This thing blows !!!! (that's a good thing)
Bought this because we have one bedroom upstairs in hot hot Florida that ALWAYS runs really hot: it's hanging out in the back of the house, next to the bonus room over the garage which is hot, gets morning sun which is hot, it's just freakin hot. In the hall it's 6 degrees cooler; in the bedroom it's always hot. We'd put a box fan in the doorway to try to push in cooler hallway air. Well, this fan pushes the air like nobody's business !! It's great! It's a little loud. But I'll take loud, for the performance! It keeps the bedroom within 2-3 degrees of the rest of the upstairs. I wish I'd bought this 5 years ago.

Totally delivers on the advertising
This came up in searches for me because it's a popular choice as an indoor cycling fan (at a fraction the cost of the incomprehensibly expensive Wahoo fan), and it is indeed tremendous as a cardio cooling fan, but I was also really intrigued by the "ventilation" capabilities. I am pleased to report that it is not just great at cooling, but at ventilating, too. CO2 levels are a great measure of ventilation. I have a CO2 monitor, and I have struggled with all manner of tactics to get the numbers down when they spike (can happen for a variety of reasons, but indoor exercise really shoots it through the roof). Opening a window did basically nothing for me, pointing a fan *inward* from the window did basically nothing, and pointing a fan outward helped, but took a while. Now when I point this Lasko fan out the window, the CO2 numbers plummet like a rock. That's quantifiable evidence that it really is moving air. I'm talking like 10 minutes to achieve what took 90 minutes with a traditional fan (a little smaller than this one). On top of that, it's relatively compact, the rotating outflow port is very useful, and it's incredibly quiet for how much air it moves. Build quality seems solid, too, I appreciate that it uses a big physical dial for settings control, as opposed to other new fans that seem to think tiny capacitive touch buttons are the height of innovation. One small thing I found a bit weird: the air intake port is perpendicular to the outflow, rather than, as with the vast majority of fans, directly behind it. In other words, it draws air in sideways rather than pushing it forwards. With the goal of ventilation, it doesn't seem ideal to have the intake be proximate to the outflow (it risks a closed loop of air going out feeding right back as air going in). But the CO2 numbers don't lie, it ventilates in spite of that design choice, and does it really well.

Does move air..
Just got this fan today for my horse barn it moves the air really good. I bought it because the reviews where going and others had said it doesn't get hot like most fans do. I had a few of the bigger master craft fans in my barn but the motor on them get extremely hot and full of dust and hay which is a big no no in any barn and that made me extremely worried. I bought this fan to move air and to help blow the flies off my horses that are very much annoying them this time of year and to also give them relief from the heat. Now I have checked several times to see if it actually gets hot in time but it doesn't feel hot at all even after being on high for a few hours it is a bit loud but not near as loud as the master craft fans. It is not a cheaply priced fan but neither are most fans. If this fan lasts a few weeks with no issues I will be buying a few more because I'm already pretty happy with the fact it doesn't get hot and the air flow is decent and it's not near as loud as a box fan or the large master craft fan.
