NECA Predators Series 11 - Thermal Dutch - Scale Action Figure, 7"

Like most NECA toys, this one is great. I really like that they took a chance with such a unique design. The only gripe I have has nothing to do with the product itself, but how it is packaged by Amazon. BEWARE OF PRODUCTS FULFILLED BY AMAZON. I have had to purchase this twice and return it both times because the toy was STUFFED into a box that was too small for it. The top of the toy's back card was literally bent (and creased) backwards in order to fit it in such a small box. I like to keep my toys in their packaging, so it was totally unacceptable that the packaging was so deliberately damaged when I received it. Again, this has nothing to do with the product or the NECA company. I guess its a good thing that I have Amazon Prime because I will keep returning it (so easy with Prime) until I get one in acceptable condition.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS "PREDATOR (SERIES 11) : THERMAL-VIEW DUTCH" ADULT COLLECTORS FIGURE! I BOUGHT THIS CAUSE THE PRICE WAS SO LOW AT THE TIME & SO I DIDN'T EXPECT MUCH. I WAS PLEASANTLY SUPRISED THOUGH! THE ARTICULATION IS TOP NOTCH, THE DISPLAY PACKAGE IS BEAUTIFUL & THE FIGURE HAS NICE, VIBRANT COLORS THAT LOOK EXACTLY AS IT DID IN THE ORIGINAL PREDATOR FILM! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO THE COLLECTORS OUT THERE! GREAT JOB NECA! A+++

I bought this figure as PREDATOR is my favorite film. Now with that said, I fell in love with this toy on the spot. It's something different. I remember having the Micro Machines Thermal Vision Dutch as a kid. Every figure looks a little different. As the blotches of paint are random to a degree. The figure comes with a M16/M203 (rifle/grenade launcher) in the lite green shown in the picture. Same with the Desert Eagle pistol, and knife. The knife fits snugly into the sheath, and hand. The pistol fits nicely into the holster, and there is a small retention snap to hold in the pistol. Just in case this guy comes to live, and runs into your backyard. The only downside I can say about this figure is that there is little "Thermal Vision" paint on his sides (side leg, ribs, face, arms, etc.) Then when you turn the figure around there is no "Thermal Vision" paint on his back. To me that isn't a huge negative. It would have just been nice to see NECA put an extra half of a penny into each figure. The PREDATOR showed the characters from different angles in PREDATOR using his "Thermal Vision". So why couldn't NECA add just a tiny bit more detail for those who pose their figures, or those who would just like as much detail as they could get into a great little figure. Sorry my review has been long winded, but I thought I'd make it clear as best as I could. I hope this review helped.

I love all the NECA figures you can really tell the designers are fans of the movies. My gripe with this one is the lack of detail in the back. There is no paint it's just green which really limits how you can display it.

With my father being a former Army Reserve SEAL, he was insistent that I see the movie "Predator" in the theater for my eighth birthday. Having PTSD from the 'NES Contra missions' he would often talk about, it came as no surprise when he would have one of his emotional breakdowns. Such was the case when the gunfire started in the movie "Predator". He curled up in the fetal position on the sticky floor and sucked his thumb. By then, I was used to the common sight and he seemed like he would be fine that way so I finished watching a rather enjoyable movie. By far, I was completely enthralled with the cool factor Dutch had in the movie where he would activate his thermal optic camouflage so the Predator couldn't see him very well. For Halloween that year, I decided to dress up like that Dutch, I used my dad's Army Reserve SEAL clothes and covered my entire body with the green and orange house paint he had in his truck (he was a house painter by trade until he was fired once they found out he was color blind.) I did not get too far Trick or Treating that night because I got so sick from all the paint fumes. The rest of the night was spent in the ER of the veterinary clinic (my dad preferred to go there due to his military service) getting all of the paint off of me and my parents getting stick with a cleaning bill. This figure was supposed to remind me of the cool scenes from the 'Predator' movie, but instead I just get ill thinking about my naked body getting scrubbed down with turpentine and a wire horse brush.

Figure looked awesome ordered two of them one for me and one for my uncle. When the package got here you could tell something heavy had been on the box opened it up both figures was smashed really bad and I was really mad about it so I am returning them as soon as I can,

NECA makes the best toys period! I love that the regular Dutch wasn't enough and they brought us a Dutch to match up with almost every part of the film. It has a real slick look that any film of toy fan will love.
