Theodent Kids Fluoride-Free Chocolate Toothpaste, Safe if Swallowed, 3.4 oz

Pros: I thought it tasted sweet and yummy! My 11 year old and 9 year old boys thought it tasted delicious, too. Floride-free! Doesn't foam much at all, which only means it doesn't contain an ingredient that creates foam, which I like :). You pull the lid off straight off. My son thought the lid was easy to remove compared to opening other toothpaste lids he's had to open. Cons: I don't like the lid. It is very thin plastic and doesn't stand on end, which means I have to store the toothpaste on its side. The lid is so thin, I wouldn't be surprised if it cracked in the future. Final Thoughts: I think this toothpaste tastes really good and is a nice change to the ho-hum of brushing, so I would recommend at least trying it once despite the high price. My boys are excited to use it, which makes me feel like they will actually use toothpaste instead of just "telling" me they used toothpaste ;). I do agree with other reviewers that my teeth "feel" different than when I use my other toothpaste, but my teeth still feel clean. Just not the same kind of clean (probably due to different ingredients in different toothpastes). I just started using this toothpaste, so I don't know if it whitens, or if it will help remineralize my teeth (trying to heal cavities in-between my teeth). I'm going to switch back and forth daily between this toothpaste, and another toothpaste I like called "Cali White." I don't think I was exclusively using Cali White at my last dental appointment (so it's not Cali White's fault that I have cavities), but I'm not sure Cali White has any ingredients that help rebuild tooth enamel, so if my cavities have shrunk at my next dental appointment, I'm going to credit it to the Theodent toothpaste. My next appointment isn't until May, so I will update then :). Update: I now use a toothpaste called Apagard Premio to remineralize my teeth. I also use BITE toothpaste capsules. Both have the same ingredient to remineralize teeth. The chocolate toothpaste is still fun if you have a reluctant brusher.

I personally like the taste of this toothpaste, and the science behind the "Rennou" seems pretty solid. FYI, the company also has a product called "Rennou Varnish" but it is only available with a prescription from your Dentist. If the product didn't work, I don't think they would be able to get an FDA 510(k) clearance for it. The regular toothpaste contains the same patented Rennou, just in different concentrations. I enjoy this toothpaste and use it for my second brushing in the evening. I do find that it helps with sensitivity without the use of fluoride. It is also very safe for kids even if the accidently swallow it. I am a long term user of this product.

This is forever, our favorite toothpaste. My kids love the taste of it and the texture as well. Our oral health has improved greatly and we love the natural ingredients. Absolutely recommend it.

This stuff is amazing! We’ve bought 33 (and counting) tubes of this toothpaste in the past four years, and haven’t had a single cavity since switching to Theodent (this includes my three kids, who aren’t the most thorough brushers). My holistic dentist recommended this. It tastes just like chocolate (with no essential oil flavor to disrupt the oral microbiome, like so many others). My kids love it!

I originally picked up Theodent's Fluoride-Free, Natural Kids Toothpaste (Chocolate Chip flavor, mind you!) for my son. He's not a fan, but I gotta say, I'm hooked! The flavor is a dream come true for anyone who's not into the whole mint toothpaste thing. It's like brushing your teeth with a chocolate treat! And despite the unconventional flavor, my teeth feel super clean after every brush. Also, can we talk about the packaging? It's absolutely gorgeous, like something you'd see on a fancy beauty product. It's so lovely, and it makes brushing your teeth feel like a little luxury. Now for the not-so-great part: the price. It's a bit steep for toothpaste, and while I'm enjoying it now, I'm not sure I can justify splurging on it again in the future. But all in all, if you're up for trying a fun, non-minty toothpaste and don't mind the price tag, give Theodent a whirl. Your teeth will thank you!

Okay. I am 30 years old and love mint chocolate chip anything so I had a goal to find a mint chocolate toothpaste. Unfortunately that doesn't seem to exist. However! I saw the reviews on this and decided to try it. It really does taste like chocolate and its delicious! So I mix it with a mint toothpaste on my toothbrush, and that fulfilled my dream of a mint chocolate toothpaste! I also enjoy using this on its own for just a pure chocolate flavor. I only wish it didn't have a "kids" label on it because the packaging is so elegant and I am not a kid. Maybe at heart, lol. But adults enjoy the yummy flavors too! Mint is great but it gets boring sometimes and I love different flavors, it makes me excited to brush my teeth! In a world full of never-ending struggles, something as small as a yummy and fancy toothpaste makes me feel like I'm pampering myself. In the name of self care! Its a bit expensive so I use it sparingly :)

As an autistic person I was a bit sad that the design of the tube wasn't the same as shown in the pictures BUT apart from that I am simply greatful that this product exist since I've struggled my whole life with regularly brushing my teeth due to the my disabilities and mental illnesses and having a toothpaste that DOESN'T taste like mint really helps and I'm currently even looking forward to brushing my teeth. Seems like this product is always out of stock - but it really tastes like milk chocolate! Was great when you could get it - note to seller -bring it back!
