TOFUDEE Tofu Press for Vegan Cooking, Adjustable Pressure, Drip Tray

Okay how have I lived my whole life without this?! For years I have used paper towels and plates to press and soak the water out of tofu. This press is phenominal! I got so much water out of the tofu and it made such the difference in cooking in my stir fry. One of the reasons I got this particular one is that it advertised that it can work on both soft and firm tofu. So far I have only used it on extra firm tofu but the directions tell you how to use it on the soft tofu as well. The press is easy to operate, easy to dump the water out of, and easy to clean.

I’ve always used plates and paper towels (and books) to strain my tofu, but I wanted to see if a tofu press would be worth the money and effort. Short answer: it is. The sturdy tray where the tofu goes fits the whole block easily, and the top locks on well. It’s SO easy to assemble, use, wash, dry, and put it away. The storage space required is so small, it’s no bigger than the container I use for leftovers. Last night I used a block of extra firm tofu and the recipe called for it to be “well drained.” Well, the press got 2/3 a cup of liquid out while I prepped for about 20-30 minutes. And no crumbles! I highly recommend just buying a press because it makes the process so much easier. As a mobility-challenged person, I’m looking for easy more and more each year.

Works well to press the liquid out and catches it in a tray below. Unfortunately the press is not always even when fully extended (likely unavoidable with only the center pressure) and the brand name being on the press seems to increase the chance of tofu splitting. Still, overall a great help in preparing tofu.

Update 6/27/24: I’ve now had this almost a year and a half and I still love it. No issues with anything breaking or loosening over time, and I use it several times a month. One of my favorite purchases from Amazon of all time. Original Feb 2023: I’m not gonna lie; I always thought tofu presses were a waste of space and money. I can just use towels and sheet pans and something heavy, right? Sure, I cooould, but time after time, I’d buy tofu and then not feel like taking the time to get all the stuff together a few hours before dinner, so I’d end up throwing out the tofu and kicking myself for wasting food and money. So one night, when my impulse control was low, I saw this and decided to try it. Well I’ll be darned if I don’t absolutely love it! I can just take the tofu, pour off the liquid in the container, pop it in, tighten it, and forget it. I have never had such dense, crispy tofu before! I can’t believe how much liquid presses out and how quick and easy it is to get it that way. Marinades soak in so stinking well, because the tofu is a total flavor sponge. And the whole thing is dishwasher-safe although the very top part doesn’t really need to be washed every time since you can pop off the part that touches food. I can’t even fully explain why but I find it very charming that it presses the name into the tofu and I love the color. I love how securely it snaps into place and how easy it is to use. And in case you’re wondering, I paid full price, I don’t get anything for writing this, and my only incentive is that I think it’s a cool and super useful product for lazy people like me and hope to help others make a smart purchase and support a small business.

I love my tofu press. I like being able to twist the handle according to the size of the tofu block. It came with a very informative brochure on pressing different text texture of tofu. You can even press soft tofu.

I used the product a handful of times but unfortunately it did break pretty quickly. I am not sure if it was the pressure of the press but the container ended up cracking so no longer can use. I did enjoy using it as it did strain the water from tofu very well and was also able to make paneer! Really which it lasted longer though. Still recommend it vs others since there was no smell or staining when using. Update since 2.4.2025 - The amazing company did respond back to me and will be sending a new updated version. I will update my feedback after I use it but truly appreciative the time they took to review my feedback, address my concern, and resolve it. Update 2.21.2025 - since having the new one, it’s been working great! I can see why the older one broke and they have resolved the issue in the new model. The team was so kind thru the process. Highly recommend! The tofu is definitely pressed out of the water.

Fantastic device. I looked into a LOT of tofu presses and chose this one. Very pleased with it. Easy to use and to clean. Tofu tip: If you've never tried it, freeze extra-firm tofu first -- in it's packaging and just overnight is fine -- then thaw. THEN press the tofu in this device. Freezing the tofu will make it chewier, like more of a burger texture.

I bought it because a friend of mine recommended this product. As described, it is well used to harden tofu by removing extra liquid. In addition, it is well used to drain the water of blanched or pickled vegetables. I use this first and squeeze out by hand later, so my hands hurt less. Generally, I'm satisfied with it.

It is compact and easy to store. It doesn't quite fit the tofu brand I buy perfectly, but just needs a little squish and it goes in there just fine. Does the pressing perfectly, the spring on top is easy to turn. I've found that I give it a few twists at first, then go back in 10 minutes and I can twist it a few more times. Super easy to clean. The unit feels very robust. Great buy.
