Do these help prevent mold on leather boots?

You can add dry silica packets to your shoe boxes to prevent mold on leather boots and shoes. Mold starts to grow on leather from moisture in the area. If you shoes are stored in a damp area or close to a shower, you will begin to see white mold on your leather items. You can purchase these packets on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Gram-Silica-Packets-Desiccant-Dehumidifiers/dp/B00DYKTS9C/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1489529081&sr=8-1&keywords=dry+silica+packs.
