Useful and well made
I’ve been really happy with this hernia belt. It provides good support without feeling overly bulky or uncomfortable, and it gives me a little more confidence when I’m moving around or doing everyday activities. The fit is adjustable, which makes it easy to get the right amount of compression and support. I also appreciate that it stays in place rather than constantly shifting. Overall, it feels well-made, comfortable enough to wear for extended periods, and has been a helpful addition to my daily routine. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a supportive hernia belt. Just remember to take it off before going through TSA 😂

Nice firm cushion holds hernia in check
Nice hernia belt. Does what its supposed to while I await hernia surgery in 1.5 months. It keeps a small cushion firmly placed where the inguinal hernia is (in my case left side), it alleviates pain and/or the prospect of hernia getting worse. I'm pretty active and this seems to work perfectly to keep everything "in check" as I frequently need to bend over or crouch down to pick up my 3 small dogs (9-15 lbs), go on walks, or ride the exercise bike. I'm not doing weight lifting or playing golf with it (that can wait for post op after recovery), but life is more manageable again. FYI I'm 6ft 205 lbs male and the small/medium fits great as you'll want it to be tight. Velcro holds nicely. Had to buy some boxer briefs to help with that strap around the leg, which I'd say is optional. If youre experiencing an inguinal hernia and waiting for surgery, you'll wish you had this, this is a life saver. Not sure why my doctor didn't recommend one but glad I found it on Amazon. Edit after surgery: After hernia surgery, you will not need this belt anymore, which is fine, bc you'll be on the road to recovery. I'm on week 5 post op and here's some tips to get thru it. Days 1-3 are the worst, bending over is an absolute nightmare, so if something drops on floor (like even a sock, etc) I'd recommend having a grabber tool handy, you can get one for $9 on Amazon. Also learn from me bc I had a setback at week 4, I was hunched over to clip my toenails and my lower back went out. Its because they cut thru the deep core abdominal muscles to do the surgery. So just watch out with leaning and bending over. Its technically called acute lumbar back spasm and its excruciating. I'm still healing from the lower back now at week 5. So watch out and use that grabber tool to grab things down low. Raise your foot up to a bench or chair to put shoes on etc. Docs didn't warn me about this but I am. I was healthy/athletic b4 this and meant nothing. Good luck people. You can do this.

Superb for post-op support especially if surgery is open type.
As a primary belt for a hernia, the insert is too bulbous. If you only need basic support than the belt is very good without the insert. Where it really shines is post-op support. Here the belt without the insert provides excellent support and comfort particularly if post-op swelling. The Velcro is top notch and very durable. In the post-op time, it is very adjustable. I give it only 4 stars as the insert is a problem, but 5 stars (if I could at the same time) for post-op use. If one is having surgery, particularly an open repair, this is a superb buy.

Life saver
I don’t write reviews, but this thing deserves one. My hernia surgery is scheduled three months from now but it was becoming unbearable in my day to day life. I work construction and it was getting harder every day. When I wear this I have zero discomfort and I am able to perform to my fullest. I am so thankful for this product. I would give it 10 stars if I could. Thank you

Keeps Hernia In
Kept my mans hernia in check when he’s lifting in the gym or doing manual labor. He’s bought a couple of these so I’m gonna guess it’s comfortable and fits good.

Good quality but not a good option for biking (road or stationary)
Upon opening the package, I liked the product. It looks well-made and the design makes sense. I tried it on and got it to a fairly comfortable fit. Now I'm able to stand and walk and do most normal activities without fear of my inguinal hernia popping out. The inner pocket is a nice touch - it allows me to put custom padding without it moving around. The included pad is a bit thick for me but it's usable. I don't understand why people complain about that - you don't HAVE to use it. Socks and various pieces of fabric can be stuck in there for a truly custom fit. I would have given this 5 stars but read below for why I dropped it down to 3. THE BAD: My main complaint about the design is the plastic buckle that you loop the groin band around. It sticks out beyond the fabric so when things get tight, it will dig into your nether regions and the area where your thigh meets your groin. Because of this, it can be hard to get comfortable when sitting on a couch. I bought this so I could resume my Peloton bike workouts. If you are wearing padded bike shorts, this will definitely dig into your groin area. Very uncomfortable and downright painful. I tried messing around with positioning but couldn't tolerate it for more than 5 minutes. I tried riding with plain athletic boxer briefs and could get them to work but I lose the padding protection for my butt. I would return this if I could but I already used it. I wish they could have positioned the plastic buckle half an inch higher - that way it is shielded by the fabric. Bottom line: If you want to use this for bike riding, look for something without a plastic buckle sticking out.

Effective with minimal discomfort.
Helps hold in an inguinal hernia. I use this with and without the bulb, depending on how much I'm on my feet & how much walking i do. Works well during yard work and the gym by installing it inside old running shorts and under dress clothes usually without the extra bulb.

After comparisons, the best one to get
There are compromises with all of these hernia belts because what they are trying to accomplish is awkward at best. But having tried 5-6 different styles and brands, this one stands out for it's effectiveness, construction and durability - so for being the best of things that are never truely great, it gets 5-stars Note: Be sure to wash and run it through the clothes dryer regularly - this keeps it clean (obviously) but also "re-tightens" the elastic fibers restoring a snug fit.

Fulfills the purpose
I don't know about post hernia surgery usage of this item. I have not yet decided for surgery, but this belt is really helping to hold the bulge without any discomfort. Feel as if hernia does not exist.
