I read an article that discussed the best dark chocolate bars. This one was high on the list so I decided to order a few bars on Amazon. So glad I did. This is truly a dark, thick, and rich chocolate bar. And, when I say thick, I am also talking about the size and weight of this bar. It is big and heavy. You get your money’s worth. Gotta say, this 70% cocoa solids chocolate bar rings all the bells. It will be on my shopping list from now on.

I think this is the very best chocolate that I’ve ever melted down to make hot chocolate! It’s so smooth and delicious tasting. I’m glad it’s not quite so sweet too and I add stevia liquid to it. I’ve seen this before but had never tried it now that I got some on sale.

This has a very good chocolate taste, which puts it near the top of the non-dairy chocolate that I seek.The only real issue I had was the strange configuration of the chocolate bar. I need to hit it with a hammer to break it up into reasonable bite-sized pieces. The odd angles and non-square sections seem like a nice idea, but are hard to deal with.

I also like to feel good about the source of the chocolate I buy.To be sure, this chocolate is a noticeable step up with really chunky, big satisfying pieces that have that substantial yet buttery consistency of Dutch chocolate. It's a fun eating experience with plenty to go around for the eager kids who want try it, with some left over for the stash.The quality to price ratio is quite satisfying.Is it the best chocolate I have had? I suspect real gourmands can find better and likely pay more. But, like I said, substantially better than super-market chocolate and it comes with a terrific promise about its ethical sourcing.I ordered both milk chocolate and dark chocolate versions, and both were good, with the dark not being super bitter. I probably preferred the milk chocolate version, for its creamy consistency.I give it five stars, not because it is the mind-blowingly amazing chocolate, but because the quality and quantity to price ratio seems very good, and it fit perfectly for what I was looking for: A "better than average" experience that is ethically sourced.

I used these to make chocolate butterscotch cookies and they came out spectacular. The dark chocolate is rich and smooth and melts great. Very impressed, and worth it for the slightly expensive cost.

Great chocolate in a nice thick bar. I like the irregular break pattern (fun) and they taste great. It has a nice texture as well. Dark chocolate can be grainy sometimes.
