Buy this book!!!!!
At first, I didn't like. That lasted one second. It was only because I wanted different alphabets. However, the instruction is exactly what this wannabe lettering fan needed!!!!! I can't say enough how the instruction is exactly what a beginner or someone who doesn't have enough confidence in their lettering (me), needs. I'm a special ed teacher and she starts out as simple as possible and then takes it from there. My confidence in my lettering, thanks to her, is finally existing. Exactly what I try to do with all my instruction I'm telling everyone about this book!

Best learning content but hard because it's paperback
Before I get into anything I will just say that this is the best calligraphy book that I have out of the three I have purchased. All three I purchased had really great reviews and were very popular. This book is incredible and is better than the other two I have combined (and I really loved one of the other books too).I absolutely love the content that is inside of this book but I'm not sure why it's a paper back and it wasn't spiral bound. To be able to practice, trace, and properly do calligraphy you need a spiral bound so it is flat. Any work that I need to do on the left-sided page as you can see in my picture is not going to lay flat. I have absolutely tried to squish this book down. I still have to hold it down flat with my hand. I'm actually really upset that it's not spiral-bound because this book is so great.I've recently bought three calligraphy books. The first book was amazing, the second was not useful, and now this as my third is great. Pages 34 through 155 are practice I think. And you need a lot of practice. And there are also some crafts you can do in the beginning that only require one or two items (and they seem easy and very fun). In the back there are beautiful pages with quotes. Yes, this book does have a lot of quotes regarding God and I know that might not be for some people but I absolutely love it.You will learn from this book and you will love this book but you will have a hard time practicing over and over again. It's worth it to buy this book but I'm just hoping that the creator will see this message and take it into account for future books or going forward possibly.

Best faux calligraphy book hands down!
I absolutely love Danielle’s book! It is hands down the best faux calligraphy book around! I bought one for myself, then came back and ordered 4 more to give to my members as happy mail!! It has truly made a huge difference in my hand lettering! I would recommend it to everyone!

Fun Way to Learn Faux Calligraphy
This book is not traditional calligraphy but a lovely way to learn using pens and pencils you already have at home! There are framable prints at the front of the book. There's a section in the middle to learn one letter at a time both upper case and lower case. This is especially useful practice. I've enjoyed it and found it quite relaxing during the quarantine to do a page a day. No more. No less. I've haven't gotten past that section yet because I'm trying to make it last. I've already used what I'm learning in my own journaling.

Not for use with brush pens
Pay attention to the “faux” calligraphy subtitle. This will make or break whether you like this book. It is only for those who want to make multiple strokes on the same letter to change thickness of the letter. Not if you use brush pens. I guess you could still technically use this book but it won’t help your technique. Also plus or minus is whether you want a lot of Christian projects in your content or just lettering practice. This book was not for me. The three stars is because it seems to be a well made book. I just didn’t love the content enough to keep it. I’ll keep looking
