Mayco Ldfl12hdr Lead Flashing Roll 12" X 20'/50 Lb

We used this product as roofing material on a shelf on the front of our Greek Revival Colonial. In getting our newly purchased home ready for paint we found that the wood shelf was allowing water to get down the back of the shelf and causing issues behind the siding. This product is very heavy when it arrives in a roll. It is super easy to unroll and work with but the height, ladders and attic window made the project a little cumbersome. We rolled it out made sure it was pitched and used Geocel to hold it in place. This product was smoothed out using blocks of wood and a hammer (before it was fastened) . It painted up nice and no one can see it up there but it sure is nice to know when it rains the water is not rolling down the the inside back of the siding. Packaging could be a little better but even if it is not perfect when it arrives it is easy to straighten out. I'm happy we have a little extra left because it is the kind of product that will come in handy now and again. Very easy to form to any shape.

Thank you for providing this hard to find, old fashioned, flashing. Our UPS driver wasn't too happy with a tiny 50# package, but our carpenters sure appreciate this easy to cut and flexible flashing. Thanks!

I ordered three 50 lb rolls on a Tuesday and expected to receive it at least a week later, likely more. They called to ask me a question about my packaging preference and Friday it was at my door. The flashing is A-grade lead -- the best and only flashing for historic preservation, timber frame, log and natural stone building. Will definitely buy again!

It's good rolled lead, workable, and thick enough. Still the best flashing material out there to my old school mind
