what is the difference between this and the V1900 model?

Thank you for your inquiry. This unit can hold 1 scent pad and the plug is part of the unit. The V1900 has a night light and a power cord. If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to contact our consumer relations team by emailing us at SocialSupport@HelenofTroy.com. Thank you.

I'm looking for one that either doesn't have a light, or where I can turn the light off. Does either of the two models match my needs?

There is a cover you can slide over the light to hide it. Also the light is not very bright at all. It’s really dim

It's for sleeping, why add the light? Can we disable the light?

Our trusted partners at Helen Troy Company (Kaz, Inc.) would be happy to light the way for they have more information at (800) 827 – 6712. - The Vicks Team
