Great bit of kit, bit pricey but give me ethernet.
This is in all reasonable aspects a solid product. It does what it says on the tin, almost perfectly matches the space grey finish on the mac and even comes with a sleeve to protect it from scratches (or scratching other things, like the map, beware the sharp edges). Although this product is, in my opinion on the pricey side. As is with most apple products, you do get what you pay for. Its beautifully finished, has very tight tolerences and performes on all ports as advertised. I really, really wish it had an ethernet port. I've seen less known brands do this adapter with one and although I can't guarantee the quality will be Anker level, it's just such a nice port to have. I won't give it 4 stars as Anker doesn't promise an ethernet port and so it's 5 based on it being exactly what Anker said it is.

Anker has never disappointed me!
So so pleased to have found this little contraption. I've only ever relied on Anker previously for power banks, cables and chargers so I was a bit sceptical about getting this but it works perfectly and the quality of the product exceeded my expectations. It has a nice weight to it and isn't flimsy so cheap like many hubs on here. What's even more ironic is that I had spend £90 on a hyperdrive duo 7-1 (same thing as this) after a lot of google searches as they're meant to be good hubs, has all the ports I need, well made and looks the part too. But the one I received was faulty and I sent it back. I quickly came on Amazon and found this. I wish I had just found this before, would've saved me a lot of hassle. It also comes with a soft close carry case. Kudos to you Anker, you've outdone yourself yet again.

Great, but with very slight problem
Works well with MacBook Air M1. I would have given 5 stars, but sometimes, if you're not careful, this can slip out, and all your connections are cut. But this doesn't happen often; if you're careful, it doesn't happen. It's fast enough for us with SSDs and audio interfaces. The extra ports given with this make it a no-brainer for someone with a MacBook Air. It's small enough to fit right into the pocket of my case, too.

Great Anker quality
I love this adapter, fits really snug in the 2 USB C ports on my new MBP - once clipped in the two ports, it looks like it was part of the laptop. All ports on it (HDMI, SD, USB and USB C) feel solid and work a charm with my cables and devices. Superb ANKER quality that's well worth its price. The only thing worth mentioning is if you need to use an external CD drive or a hard drive that requires power, this thing won't give enough juice to the device. Other than that I love it!

Must have for M1 Macs
Got a new M1 Mac Air via work recently. I was disappointed to see that it only had 2 USB C ports. I need my mac to connect to a monitor, which also means you need a power cable attached. Therefore on this setup, there are no more available ports to connect anything to. My Apple Keyboard can connect via blue tooth, but if you have a non apple keyboard there won't be an extra USB port on the new mac to connect this to. I prefer to use a bluetooth mouse rather than the Apple Mouse (the apple mouse isn't as responsive) so I really needed another USB port for the bluetooth dongle for the mouse. This device by Anker solves all my problems I can plug the USB for the bluetooth mouse in to it, I can keep the mac on charge and I can also have the mac connected to the monitor via HDMI to HDMI, and have free spaces to connect more stuff. My only complaint is that this device doesn't allow USB C to HDMI. By this I mean, when I connected my USB C to HDMI cable, my monitor would not register that there was a device projecting to it. However, the Anker device does have a HDMI to HDMI port and I was able to connect my mac to the monitor using this method. I saw a review that said this didn't fit well or rattled, for me that isn't the case at all, it's flush and feels and looks like it was part of the mac accessory kit. On the photo I've uploaded, i still have an available USB c slot, USB slot and micro SD stuff too. The device does get warm when used, I've only had it for a day so I will monitor this and report any issues. Based on how warm it's getting during the day, I will probably disconnect it entirely from the mac at night time as I don't want any overheating issues. Overall - great purchase.

Just works effortlessly
I’m not one for writing reviews normally but this product is so handy for my Mac Air I can’t get over it. I carry it around in my work bag and use it both at work and at home. You can set up you Mac to work with the lid closed so it just sits on my desk looking great. I have a wireless keyboard and mouse through a usb fob and the monitor plugs straight into the hdmi slot. When it’s plugged into my laptop it also facilitates charging. I initial bought a Logitech version from Currys but I soon took this back. It was 3 times the price and didn’t work anywhere near as well (or look as good).

Fast transfer, easily dislodged
In terms of transfer rate this seems to work perfectly not making any impact on the rates experienced without it. It looks good plugged into the Macbook though everytime I read the boldly-printed "ANKER" I can't but hear a "W" before it. The only flaw is that it comes unattached very easily. If you move the laptop or cable or remove an SD card it is easy to lose connection with the devices attached. Maybe this is an unsolveable design issue and it's not a huge problem. Quite expensive for what it is but better value than if it were Apple.

The Anker USB C Hub for MacBook is very useful. It gives you seven ports from just two USB-C connections. It works well with Thunderbolt 3 and 100W charging, so it’s fast and efficient. The hub is well-made and looks good with the MacBook. It’s a great value and I highly recommend it!
