Big Book of Scroll Saw Woodworking

Being new to scroll sawing, I appreciate the fact that this book has lots of pictures, diagrams and detailed instructions. It explains techniques, tips and tricks from project beginning to finish in easy to follow language. It also includes a lot of great patterns that go from simple to very detailed. If you're new to scroll sawing, I highly recommend this book. I believe skilled scroll saw workers will find useful information in this book as well.

This is a great book. I wasn't sure if I should get it, because I couldn't find any reviews anywhere. I decided to go for it, because it was written by the people at scroll saw magazine. I'm glad I did. I've only read the first chapter so far with basic "how to" info. I'm already seeing a huge improvement in my projects. I'm getting smoother cuts and crisper corners, and doing it at a faster pace. I can't wait to do some of the projects they provide. The only improvement I would suggest is making it spiral bound for easier photo-copying of the patterns.

Just recently began scrolling. I needed some instructions, so this is the book I ordered. I must say, it is like a kitchen recipe, one step at a time. Plus, they included a project ingredient list. So, I can go to the store and get exactly what I need, the correct blade, wood, stain, sanding grit, and waaalaaa, I am making the project!!. I would recommend this to anyone interested in scroll saw work. Thanks for the Great Book!!

The book explains how the scroll saw works, the different types of blades and what they are used for, and has great projects in ascending order of difficulty. It gave me great confidence to go ahead and practice a little and then plunge into making things. The puzzle projects are wonderfull. Definitely start with this book.

Great project ideas with insights into wood species. To recommend sources for material would be helpful.

As a newbie to woodworking this is a great way to learn the basics and complete some projects to bolster the skill set. Love the book.
