The photo shows a separate disc...is that what makes this induction compatible or is the pot itself induction compatible. What is the disc for?

One of the item photos shows a 'disc' alongside the Pressure cooker. This 'disc' is a formed aluminum spacer with holes in it. It's purpose is to keep food or food containers out of the water for steaming purposes. Nothing to do with induction heating. The bottom of the pot is made of a metallic composition suitable for induction heating.
