Fresh product
Great product. I had no problem with mold and a great smell to them. Very nice size and quality.

Excellent...worth the price
This is a product where size matters. My tamale recipe provides enough dough and filling to make about 30 tamales. One package of these corn husks provided more good sized husks than I needed to make a full batch of tamales. When I buy corn husks at my local grocery store, I typically buy two bags because only 1/2 the husks are big enough to make a decent tamale. I think I could have made 45-50 tamales with the corn husks in one these packages. The husks were a little pliable, not dry (almost brittle) like those I find at the supermarket. The only needed a 10-minute soak in hot water and they were ready to wrap some beautiful tamales. Only a few of the husks had small insect holes...which is common among all brands. I would buy these again. But, I won't need to for a while because I order two bags expecting them to be comparable to the smaller husks from a grocery store.

Horrible Quality Control!
First time ordering. A full quarter (4oz out of 16oz package) of these husks were either two small to wrap with, large and ripped, or full of mold! Very disappointed with this product!.

Used for tamales
Used these for tamales, they smelled a bit like vintages but I rinsed them really well in hot water. The husks were a good size and I would say there was ~50 of them. I made 38 tamales and had enough leaves to cover them during steaming as well.

Must dry on arrival
These husks arrived damp, so we immediately laid them out on a counter and allowed them to fully dry, before returning them to the bag the came in. If you do not do this, they will definitely spoil and get moldy.

Clean, pliable, fresh husks!
These husks are a game changer! I have been living in NC for 5 years making tamales and for 5 years I could not find clean, beautiful, non moldy, husks since leaving Cali. Excited my money is finally spent on high quality husks for delicious tamales to enjoy and to gift! They look and smell so fresh!

Authentic
These were the best tamale husk we have ever purchased. Were Clean. Were Large. Were proper thickness Were easy to roll after soaking. My daughter and I make tamales for Christmas Eve. Husk are hard to find in East Tennessee. These cost just barely more then we've paid when found at a grocery store in past. But so very worth it. Shipped quickly. Therefore we didn't have to hunt some down . They were very wide so could have made really big thick tamales. Or , like us torn in half to make authentic size tamales. We made in advance, they stored well in refrigerator. Was a good choice to buy these. Will definitely order more. May just set up as subscribed for auto ship, if can do that for every 6 months. We should make tamales more ofyen then Christmas , because we love them. Ours look dry in picture because left in oven to long when warming them for the table.
