Hicarer High Torque Long Shaft Clock Movement Mechanism Clock Replacement Motor with 12 Inch Long Spade Hands

I painted this very large clock and needed new hands. I had purchased these in the past, so I knew they would fit. The mover we hired, unfortunately, did not wrap the clock correctly and the hands broke.You will need to make sure the shaft of the mechanism is the correct size.They work perfectly. You can hear the "tick" of the clock, but it is not super loud. This is actually in my bedroom and it does not keep me up at night. I can barely hear it and I have great hearing.I recommend this.

Easy to install

Clock appears to keep time accurately. I purchased this version as a replacement, as I have a clock with fairly long / heavy hands that needed a "high torque" model. At the time, I didn't consider / care about two features that may matter to other shoppers (hence the 4-star review). 1) The second hand is NOT "sweep" movement, it will "tick" / ratchet each second, so it is not as "smooth" as some might want. 2) Perhaps more important, in a quiet room, you will be able to hear the ticking of each second. If using in a room with ambient noise (or you are not concerned with the sound), you should be happy with this item.

Replacement works

My clock stopped and it was the clock works. So my husband ordered new works. It worked for almost 2 days and then stopped. We thought it might be the batteries so we purchased new ones. It still would not work. That was 18.00 down the drain. My husband was so aggravated he threw it in the trash. Hope this won't happen to you.
