Anyone else have issues with the pieces breaking easily during assembly? My 15 year old son wasn’t able to finish this due to this.

Yes, it's very easy to break pieces. I returned mine because of it, just threw it all in a box and returned. I found that the higher priced ones are thicker material and don't break easily.

Does it contains clockwork?

No~did not include the clockwork. But the wheels are movable.

are the instructions in more than one language?

I think it depends on where you buy the kit from. But I have seen instructions in the kits I buy from Amazon in about 4 different languages. But in most cases, you really don't need written instructions as the pictured assembly steps are pretty easy to understand.
