2 Women With Health Issues Painted 2 COATS ON 7 ROOMS in 2 DAYS!
I'm a 72-year old woman with osteoporosis. My daughter has problems with her hands & her back. We wanted to apply a beige flat paint over colorful shiny satin finish painted walls, and so had to prime all the walls before applying the paint. But with these rollers, we were able to PRIME - AND THEN GO BACK & PAINT - SEVEN ROOMS with 9' ceilings in TWO DAYS! That's equivalent to single-coating 14 rooms in a weekend! We also primed and painted a 9' tray ceiling without a ladder. We had expected to need two or three coats of paint over the primer to completely cover the previous paint, but after priming we only needed ONE COAT. Retouching was minimal because the Paint Sticks released the right amount of paint. We still have the edging to do. But the vast majority of the work was quickly and neatly dispatched. The Paint Sticks (we each have one) worked like a dream. There was no trouble with leakage nor with dripping. They got very close into corners & the ceiling. There was no messy pouring of paint into a tray. No carrying a dripping roller across the room. NO LADDERS despite the high ceilings! The Paint Sticks are also much neater & quicker than the old electric paint rollers with long tubes filled with paint. There were always major spills from the paint can tipping over when pulling on the tube (once I spilled nearly a half gallon of paint on carpeting!), a huge amount of wasted paint in those tubes, and a nearly impossible clean-up when using the electric rollers. I've been painting rooms since I was 12, and in 60 years of experience, I've never had a faster, easier, neater time applying paint. I'll never go back to standing on ladders holding a messy, dripping roller - nor battle the long plastic tube of an electric power roller again!

Makes painting bearable!
UPDATE: Iโve had this paint stick now for 3 years and itโs still going strong. I did have to buy replacement parts due to normal wear and tear, but it costs about $7 and feels brand-new. As far as the cleaning afterwards? Yes, itโs a pain, but I spent way more time going up and down a ladder and dealing with paint trays, so itโs worth the extra 5-10 minutes it takes to clean it. I suggest getting little brushes (baby bottle brushes are honestly perfect!) to get the ins and outs of the little pieces. First off, I hate painting. No, really. I dread it. I hate the pre-work (cleaning the walls, taping, etc.), and then comes the actual painting, which used to take forever. I bought this figuring it was worth a try and YES! Itโs worth every cent. For those saying after a use or two it was junk, they mustโve not cleaned it well enough because Iโve used it now four times and itโs still going strong. The only downside? Cleaning it is a pain, but it literally cuts your painting time in half. I bought a $3 rolling edger (shur-line for those interested) eliminating the need for taping, so that plus this roller make painting bearable! Few pointers - 1.) Have Vaseline on hand for where the roller attaches to the device that goes in the paint. Putting a glob on prior to painting eliminates dripping. 2.) Push the tube with paint AS youโre rolling. If you stop and push, yes, paint will drip and go everywhere. 3.) Take the necessary time to clean it. Just like any painting tool, if your treat it well, it will treat you well back. Happy painting!

Works pretty well after you get the hang of it
As the title says, this paint stick works pretty well after you get the hang of it. You'll need to use it a bit to find just how much to twist the dispensing knob, but after you have that figured out you can cover a wall very quickly and without any mess. Refilling the stick is quick and easy, and the roller doesn't drip after refilling which is a big plus. Make sure you put a little Vaseline or petroleum jelly on the rubber O-ring seals in the handle each time you use it (just smear some all around on the O-rings and clean off the excess). Usage: Turn the handle until paint starts coming out of the roller while running it up and down the wall. After the roller is evenly loaded with paint, start rolling the wall and turn the handle a bit with each stroke to keep the roller saturated with paint. It'll take a bit of rolling before you find out just how much to twist the handle but you'll get a feel for it pretty quickly. Cleaning: You MUST either clean this after each use OR bag the roller end with a plastic bag to prevent it from drying out and clogging. You'll probably also want to buy an extra set of perforated rollers if you plan on doing more than just a room or two. Cleaning is simple- just unscrew the handle, pull the thing apart and rinse it thoroughly with warm water. Clean the roller and then bag it, run water through the perforated metal tube that holds the paint roller, and then run warm water through the paint tube. All in all this is a handy way to paint. It would be great if there was an attachment that would clip onto a paint bucket and feed the roller, but if that's your use case then you could just buy a powered paint sprayer/roller. Handy, and it works as advertised. Well worth the money (only ~ $30).

Great start then completely broke on 3rd stick fill-up
I had a paint stick years ago and loved it through many household paint projects. Unfortunately this time I wasn't able to get through one wall of my living room. The ease of use would be 5 stars had the device held up to complete one room. I was on pace to finish my large living room in about 1 hour, but after the first wall and 3rd refill the flimsy straw piece from the top of the paint can snapped off into the fill tube. After using what I had suctioned in the stick, I removed the broken piece - not as easy as you might think - which damaged the insertion point to the stick. Could not get paint in the stick after that no matter what I tried. Became way more effort than just using a regular roller and pan and several hours longer fidgeting with it and cleaning it to try to make it work.

!!!! Seriously made my life easier
If I could give this 10 stars I would. This product is amazing. I spent 2 days painting the trims by hand brush. Then 1 day to cut around the edges of the gray by hand brush. Then it took 3.5 hours to finish painting the entire house filling in the gray with this paint stick. It was so fast and easy. A few things to consider; 1) the roller was pretty much near its last breath of life by the time I had finished. I did buy extra rollers but I kept using the first one until I finished. The paint started dripping a bit from the near tube end but I just used it carefully and finished the job with it. 2) every stroke up or down you should turn the knob a little bit. You have to replace what's coming off the roller going on the walls so get into the hang of turning the knob slightly 1/4 turn with each 6-7 foot stroke. 3) go slower if its textured surface. I had textured hardie panels and I had to go slow and steady to get the paint into the grooves of the texture. 4) push the stick fully onto the feed tube. It goes in further than it looks. Dont be shy.....put it all the way in....twss 5) if you throw away the old roller dont forget to remove the two end caps and the foam manifold inside the roller to use on the next replacement roller. I almost threw it out when cleaning. 6) watch the YouTube video on cleaning. It's not anymore work than cleaning a paint tray and roller. Wash it well, use lots of water, put petroleum jelly on the seals, and end cap seal, put it back together and store it properly. 7) be careful how much force you apply using the tube. If you over do it and bend or kink the tube it will break the seal and cause a leak in your handle. I can see some people going crazy pushing the stick like it's a shovel and then crying why it leaks everywhere. If you have to push that that, it means you don't have enough paint on the roller. Turn that knob and relax. Stroke that tube up and down, nice slow and steady. Don't need to go crazy on that tube.... is it getting warm in here? Anyways I've seen some bad reviews and mostly good reviews. I assure you will not be disappointed. I'll never paint again without this.

Difficult to load with paint
The idea is great. I can recall 30+ years ago using a similar product and was therefore intrigued. I just purchased a 16 year old home and wanted to change the paint colors inside the entire 4,000 sf house...lots of painting. With that said, I did tons of research and found this product and was cautiously optimistic is would be the right tool to help me complete this daunting task in a timely manner. Upon my first use, I struggled to load the paint tube. The seal is finicky and allows a lot of air into the tube with the paint. I read the instructions numerous times, put petroleum jelly on the seal, practiced at angles I believed to be 45 degrees or close to it (plus and minus). Sometimes the paint filled beautifully, most of the time, I got as much air as paint. I spent a lot of precious time loading and even sometimes unloading/reloading the tube with paint. Then we move to the clean-up. It was relatively easy to clean, but took me at least 30-45 minutes each time, maybe because I am rather meticulous and like my things to last...again precious time spent. I reused the rollers about 4-5 times before discarding which took more time, but for almost $6 each, I couldn't bring myself just to use and discard each time. After trying this product for 3-4 rooms (and ceilings too BTW), I sent it to file 13. I picked up a 5' pole and paint pan at the local hardware store and painted the remaining rooms the old fashioned way. I used Purdy 3/8" nap rollers (6 for $12) and discarded them after each use so no clean up there. I used a pan liner (12 for $4) and discarded after each use. So cleanup was a breeze and took about 30 seconds because I threw everything away each time. This way even seemed to go faster than the paint stick and the control of paint to the walls or ceilings seemed better too. I purchased 2 additional perforated rollers at the same time as the paint stick and just went to return them as they are unused and still in the original packaging. Wouldn't you know it, my window to return closed 8 hours and 50 minutes ago. I'm sure they will fit my roller, but for these two, I could have bought 12 Purdy rollers...ugh! Paint stick is a great idea and I hope others have better luck than I did. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this product until the seal is revised.

AMAZING invention!!!!
I got this on a whim in hopes of avoiding continuous bending to reload a traditional roller, and I am blown away by how fast and easy it was to finish a room!!! Pros - You can suck up enough paint to cover most of a wall. No more bending to load the roller every few swipes on the wall...over and over...and over. It only took about 30 minutes to paint each coat of a medium sized bedroom (after I painted trim and cut in edges as I normally would). There were ZERO drips like I always have with a traditional roller! Cons - It is slightly awkward if you have a narrow space (like a hallway or if you have a bunch of furniture moved to the middle of the room like I do) since the stick is pretty long. It wastes paint a bit since it has to suck up enough to fill the inside of the roller. There is a foam insert to take up some space, but I'd assume there is a good half cup of paint in there that won't come out until you disassemble it. Overall clean up is a bit awkward and unpleasant, but I think it is totally worth it!!

ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!
I was a little worried about purchasing this product because the reviews either hated it or loved it. There was no in-between. I had a ceiling in a large room that needed to be painted so I went with my gut and purchased the roller. I'm SOOOO glad I did because it was so easy to use. Worked perfectly. To the people that are saying it splattered paint on their floor ~ you're twisting too much paint up into the roller and that is why it's splattering. I wouldn't go more than one full twist once you have the roller charged with paint. That will prevent spillage. I did the entire ceiling room all by myself super quick and it gave nice coverage. The splatter guard was a plus also, especially with painting the ceiling. I didn't find clean up to be that hard either. You just need to run warm water through the entire device until it runs clear. Wished I would've bought it sooner. The time you save by not having to go to the paint pain is amazing.

Not working after painting half of the wall ..
All is good but after painting half the wall, the Paint Stick's valve broken off (the valve is to prevent paint from coming out when you squeeze the paint to the roller). As a result, when you tried to squeeze the paint to the roller, the paint coming out from the valve instead of going to the roller and messed up the floor. Try to find parts to replace it but could not find any. If not for this, I would give a four rating and now is 1 rating. For it wasted my $40++ . Seller, please advise where I can get the valve replacement.

THE BEST
If I could give this 10000 stars I would. This thing is absolutely amazing. It makes painting a breeze. I can't imagine having to use a regular roller after experiencing this. I tell everyone I know that they need to buy one. Clean up takes a bit of practice to get right but I'd much rather deal with cleaning this than scrubbing a paint tray. I can't stop telling people how much I LOVE my Paint Stick!!!!!!
