Great bunkbed/trundle! My grandkids were ex tactic with the surprise beds when they came for a sleepover. Comfortable and roomy for them all! The beds arrived earlier than posted, was a nice surprise, so we had to give the driver permission to deliver into our garage. The delivery service was professional and even sent me pictures of boxes that had some damage with descriptions. There wasn't any damage to furniture itself. It was pretty easy to assemble, just takes time and easier with 2 people but can be done with one. My 2 complaints: that the top bar on the bunk is not very stable and does wiggle a bit. I worry that over time this could compromise the screws; the ladder fits very snugly to the bottom bunk and it is difficult to get sheets tucked in but it is a sturdy ladder! It really is a beautiful bed set, the trundle fits nicely even on carpet. Can be a little challenging to pull out but it's manageable. Overall, very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend it!

This was my first online bunk bed purchase , was a little apprehensive about the quality and finish of the product. When the product arrived it had a damaged part, this was a dampner as it was a birthday gift for the kids! But once we assembled the bunk bed it looked great and everybody was pleased, the kids loved it!The bunk bed is sturdy and will last long. Please make sure you provide for at least 2 to 3 hrs for assembly, a screw driver set is sufficient for assembly. We started assembly late and we're able to complete it by late nightPlease make sure you open each box and check for any damage. If any damage please take photographs of the damage.I contacted Amazon customer service and they had me contact Discovery World directly. Amazon customer service was excellent so was the response from Mr. Greg Young from Discovery World. The damaged part was shipped promptly free of charge.The color is a little darker than what appears on the website, but finish is good. It's made in Vietnam, good quality.I thought of giving 4 stars but finally decided on a 5 because1. Quality of product2. Quick delivery3. Good customer service both Amazon & Discovery World4. I bought the bed in September 2016. It was fairly easy to build and looked very nice. After about six month, my oldest son (who weighs about 125 lbs) stood on the bottom bed. The bed slat support on the side rail of the bottom bed broke. All the screws need to be regularly tightened. The top side rails cracked as well.It has now been a year and a half and the bed is no longer safe for my children. I know it wasn't very expensive but it wasn't the cheapest either. I would not recommend it to anyone. Some may think that my kids were rough, but they are not at all and never jumped on the beds. The wood looks nice but is brittle and cracks easily.

Recently received this bed, and have been pleasantly surprised with the quality. I saw some of the negative reviews, and think that over-tightening of the connections may have caused some of the failures noted. Would recommend to anyone who needs an option for 3 or 4 children to sleep on.The bed(s) arrived on a wooden pallet that was dropped off in our front yard. Shipping was faster than expected. It was not typical Prime shipping, and a delivery date had to be arranged with the shipping company. They called and asked if they could deliver ahead of schedule. That was great.Assembly was fairly easy if you are used to building furniture like this. One of the pieces of the full bed was not the mirror of the opposite piece, so the pilot hole was on the outside of the bed. For the price, this is not surprising. There was a couple of other issues such as that, but it was by no means a deal breaker.Bought a 6" mattress for the trundle, and it may be able to support an 8" mattress. The front face of the trundle only connects at the bottom in the corners and it is quite tall. Concerned that this will break with repeated use. Full and top bunk can easily handle 8" - 10" mattresses.

We received this item and put it together today. The item is as described, includes the trundle, which just basically wheels under on the floor, is not attached in any way. It took us about 3 hours to assemble (but my 4 year old helped so it could have been done in 2 hours). I recommend having 2 people so one can hold things in place while the other screws things in. I'm giving this item 4 instead of 5 stars because:1) it had some minor dings already when we took it out of the packaging.2) the instructions are pictures only, no explanation, which is normally fine but we did have to back track at one point when we realized 2 things were upside down because we didn't notice the tiny dot in the picture3) when installing the ladder, some of the holes didn't line up and my husband had to use his drill. And there is a metal bracket blocking where a screw is supposed to be.4) I didn't like the delivery company used for this. I was never able to use the tracking number provided, and I had to contact Amazon to find out when it was going to get delivered. Then the company called yesterday and said they'd deliver between 9a-12p. Well i had a voicemail when I got out of the shower at 7:30a saying they were 5 minutes away. I threw clothes on and ran out front and they had just left it sitting in my driveway! What's the point of a delivery window? That being said I did receive this about a week after I ordered it, so that's good.It seems sturdy and I'm overall satisfied.

This bed was fairly easy to assemble with my teenaged boys, and it seems sturdy. Only time will tell. The only problem (and the reason I’m only giving 3 stars) is that the boxes were badly damaged, so there are several gouges in the finish. I’m too lazy to send it back, and the issues are only cosmetic. Very irritating but not a deal breaker for me.
