Yamaha New OEM 2 And 3 Ram Tilt Motor Support, MAR-MTSPT-YM-10, MAR-MTSPT-YM-10

Per instructions it said to use it on the port side ram only, so I only ordered one. However, when I received it and had the chance to use it, I saw that I could use it on both rams. I have a 250 SHO. There is a wire but it’s 3-4 inches away. The only way I would hit the wire would be if I wasn’t paying attention and jerked the support out and maybe snag it. So I bought a second one and have one on each ram, I feel it’s equally supported that way.

Perfect for my 2019 Yamaha 250 SHO and they say Yamaha! You actually only need one, so they say, but my OCD told me it would put undo stress on the mounting, support, and motor by supporting only one side. So, I purchased two and they fit just fine without getting in the way of my zerk's. I also have a 225 Banks Mercury and was sold basically the same thing and they came in a pair!

Works perfectly for my Yamaha F200. I feel much better about trailering now that I have this. A little pricey but the cost of what it's protecting is lot more expensive! Be sure to only use it on the port side though. The starboard side has a grease fitting that could be damaged by this product. Keeps motor tilted at the right angle for travel. Someone else pointed out that it doesn't float so don't forget to remove it before backing into the water.

A must have for outboard motor support while trailering your boat!

My motor settles because the seals in the trim and tilt are starting to go, it takes 3 days for it to completely go down. Plus I have too many things going to to address the problem right now. So I picked up one of these and it works as it should. I had to trim it a bit to fit my motor but they are designed to be trimmed if need be, plus it helps when traveling as well👍

Love the cover. Fit nicely and is made of a good quality material. I mainly use it as a dust cover. It is not out in the elements.

Perfect And A Must Have For Hauling Safely

It does what it's supposed to, but after using it for a few months my tilt/trim pump has started to howl when I raise or lower the motor. Coincidence? I've had the motor for six seasons, it's never howled before. Worse, the top of the Yamaha F150 now rides just high enough to hit the top of the inside of the garage door--that wasn't an issue when using the built-in bracket, which kept the top of the motor lower. I had to spend $450 to get the engine repainted due to using this item, since the top of the motor got badly scratched due to it being too high to fit well through the garage door. All that aside, it's well-made, and does exactly what it's supposed to. I can't blame it for my motor scratches--that's on my back.
