My one hour runtime review
I'm so thankful for this thing. 2 months ago I came home to a hot upstairs (dedicated system for upstairs), temperature way above the thermostat set point. Inside the air handler closet I discovered the lines iced up and the fan doing absolutely nothing. Less than two years earlier the original motor (5 years old) had stopped moving enough air, causing icing up, and was noisy. Technician diagnosed bad motor and replaced it, but kept the same ECM module. Anyway, no warranty to soften the blow this time around so I decided to diagnose it myself. 230v at fan, 24vac signal at fan, no dead shorts, equal resistance across motor windings, but no spin. No hum. Nothing. Took it all out and apart and the thermistor in ECM module was good, but noticed spinning the fan with ECM module connected wasn't freely rotating. I could easily move it, but it wouldn't continue to spin around like videos I watched. So that left me trying to find a replacement ECM module, even used - impossible. Motor + ECM programmed, north of $1k. After many hours of researching obscure part numbers and not wanting to spend that kind of money, I bought an inverter window AC and suffered for 60 days with a partially cooled master bedroom, a sweltering master bath and walk-in closet, and a battle against humidity. Found this motor mentioned two days ago and couldn't even begin to confirm that it'd replace my Broad-Ocean unit. Had no idea if it'd be too short, long, too wide or narrow for the mounting band around my existing motor, incompatile shaft diameter - nothing. That's because of poorly published specs on the one I removed. All I knew is that it matched in 1/3hp, 230v, and RPM so I went for it and I'm so thankful. Wish I had ordered this the day I did my diagnostics and spared myself the window ac (same price as this) and associated drama. Had it installed in an hour with zero complications and it's working PERFECT. I don't know if my hvac company could have sourced a replacement ECM module, I sure couldn't find one searching every parts catalog around, but if they had sold me a complete assembly I would have been in the hole nearly $1.5k. Huge savings going this route and a great learning experience. This hvac company sold me an entire new downstairs unit a few years ago because the blower on that one died and they said it simply couldn't be sourced... I'll try a generic even if I have to retrofit things next time versus getting sold a whole new system.

works on my carrier furnace from 2015 with no issues.
avoid the ripoff of an HVAC company. this went into a carrier as a drop in replacement. perfect fit with no drilling or anything... literallly plug and play. This is the second one I've had to purchase for the same air handler in the past 3 years so the quality and longevity is definitely good enough for me at this point, as I'd rather buy 3 of these than have 1 visit from the HVAC guys that would have charged me 800-900 bucks for a single unit. I'll probably buy a spare for the future just in case. plug and play with the furnace, quiet and powerful. The motor has 5 speed settings, I've put white on 4 and blue on 3.

SAVE MONEY by replacing your own blower motor
SAVE MONEY by replacing your own blower motor. It is so easy!!! We have a rental property in Texas and the air went out in July so had to repair it fast. The A/C company wanted to charge me $800+ so I did my own research and came across this motor. Got it in two days and changed it out in less than 2 hours(it was hot so had to take some breaks). Solid motor at at great price and fit like a charm! Grateful and thankful that I came across this motor. Money is tight so everything helps!

Perfectly simple
Direct drop in, install of the motor in a Payne unit. Self programming. Recommend this motor, easy install. Delivered early as well. Couldn’t be happier.

Excellent.
I ordered this motor back in 2019. I was told my unit was "too old too repair" and given a 6k quote. Just buying the home a few days prior, I rushed to Amazon to look up all the parts to rebuild my entire system. This was one of the products I picked. Here we are going into 2025 and it is still running. I saved 5,500 by ordering and doing the job myself. This motor saved us. Especially in the Florida heat.

Easy to install and works
This is the second motor I bought. The first one lasted for 4 years. It’s on an upstairs unit that doesn’t get used much. I don’t know why the previous one quit working but $270 and I’m back in business. The part seems to go for easily in the $300+ range if you buy elsewhere. Sad I only got 4 years out of it, but the OEM only lasted 5 years with even less use. I’m not sure if there is some other issue causing the failure or just “is what it is”. Installation was a breeze. Turn on fan and let it figure out which direction it needs to rotate and done. The first one seemed to try both directions. This one just turned on and worked. It didn’t seem to change directions but I have cold air blowing again in the 117 degree days we have.
