A difference you can feel
Used this on an 89 Tuned Port Injected car. This coil with the Flamethrower module and MSD 6A with plugs gapped at .055 is amazing. I’ve tried several internal and external HEI coils from MSD and other companies but none of them had any noticeable effect. Highly recommend this coil even on a stock setup.

I used this Pertronix Flame-Thrower Coil as a Stanley Meyer fuel-cell coil and it has exceeded my expectations.
I'd hook up this 60,000V E-Core to a Lawton PLL (Phase Loop Lock) circuit that uses sensors connected the fuel-cell capacitor as the feedback to calculate the resonance frequency. I'd only required 40,000 volts for molecular ringing to take place to rip apart water into its hydrogen and oxygen gaseous components gravitationally using high voltage tension. The ferrite E-core comfortably resonates at in excess of 270 KHz and the amount of HHO gas created using this coil has exceeded my requirements. All in all, this Pertronix Flame-Thrower Coil is an excellent product.regards,John Myatt

did not work
I installed this coil along with a pertronix billet distributor and it ran good for a couple minutes until the coil started getting extremely hot and started pouring smoke out of the bottom. maybe i just got a bad one, who knows but it has set my project back a week.

Careful tightning nuts
Be careful when tightening the nuts to both pos and neg terminals, I snapped one by hand with just anut driver, making the brand new coil unusable.

Broken in package, then stud broke off when tightening wires
I ordered this coil because they are supposed to be well made. Well, I can tell you now, they are not. I bought this coil in June 2021, and finally got around to installing it today (Aug 14). Noticed that the plastic around the coil plug wire stud was cracked, so I decided to JB weld it. First problem solved. After the coil was installed on my firewall, I started connecting the wires. When tightening the positive terminal, the stud snapped off! Argh! What a disappointment. I do not recommend this part at all......absolute junk.
