Are they available in solid black? I like the speaker, but really hate the green. The neon green is a total deal-breaker.

They are not available in black. But if it's the green you do not like just get a liquid black paint marker and paint it. They are great monitors and they can get loud.

How can i get rid of this hiss? i have these monitors connected via rca-1/4 through a 6 channel mixer. the hiss comes and goes but it’s loud.

Same happened to me the hisss is too loud. No way to get rid of it, i returned immediately.

Do these have the switch that malfunctions after one year and causes the speakers to catch on fire? Or did they fix that problem?

Has anyone used thes with electronic drums?

Don’t do it if you’re thinking of playing live with them . If you’re playing back something you’ve recorded then ok. You would need to compress the drums and have a subwoofer to get it close to useable live. Use headphones or a pa speaker made for live instruments.
