I found an old Tyco Mini Typhoon hovercraft stashed in the basement. Its NiCad battery no longer held a charge. I bought this battery with the charger. (I bought the charger because a Web search indicated that one should not use a NiCad charger with NiMH batteries.) I charged the battery for approximately four hours. It dropped right into the hovercraft's battery holder. The connector was a little tighter than the OEM battery's, but it connected with no problems. The hovercraft is working well, now. I have no comment concerning longevity of the battery because I have had it for less than one full day. I don't remember how long the original NiCad battery lasted in use, so I cannot say for sure if the NiMH is better than the NiCad, but I suspect it is. I have played with my newly-discovered hovercraft on the kitchen floor a few times already and consider my battery purchase to have been a success.

I ordered this battery along with Tenergy Universal Smart Charger for NiMH/NiCd Battery Packs (6V - 12V) Perfect for RC or Airsoft Battery Packs --- NEW! . When I opened the package yesterday, I was surprised to receive 3 battery packs. Perhaps it was a bonus for ordering both at the same time. Anyway, the charger is definitely worth it instead of charging from the RC car which has no lights. As for the quality of the battery packs, I concur with all the others who gave it five stars. I went back to "View this order," on Amazon and both items say "Sold by: Battery Superstore," -- if I click on the items from inside my order, the battery pack says "by Tenergy," and the charger says "by Palco Sports." Whether I get one or three, I'd still order both again if I had to. Make sure you charge on the lower setting only and slip the charger's temperature sensor underneath the battery's plastic wrap so the sensor is tight against the battery while charging.

I put one of these into my big hummer RC truck & it ran for hours, I just couldn't get the thing to die lol. In all honesty though 1 battery lasted about idk maybe 3 hours I can't remember exactly. But it's definitely an amazing upgrade. Definitely recommend this product.

Esta batería la quería para "revivir" una camioneta de control remoto de mas de 20años, la batería original hacia mucho tiempo que ya no cargaba, ahora con esta nueva batería, mi hijo se la pasa jugando, la carga al 100% le toma 4hrs y puede durar jugando por mas de 40min, muy buena batería.

Bought the set to run in my 2 old Tyco R/C cars with my nephew . Did my research on the dimensions and connection type. They hold a charge and are well built but they’re slightly bigger than both the given dimensions and the old Ni-cd packs that came with my cars so they didn’t fit. No available return so buyer beware.
