Is the "color night vision" only possible with the light? I would not be using the light as I want this to be more stealth

You don't need to light the camera's field of vision (FOV) for the camera to work at nights. It has multiple, lighting-related settings to optimize the camera's effectiveness both in daylight and night conditions. Also, the camera does not have a visible light on the outside which would reveal its existence and position.
