Made in the USA, excellent quality, works perfectly
I spent a good deal of time shopping around to find a mount to allow use of iron sights. I saw this product early on but, of course, thought I could find something less expensive. Let me save you all some time: Spend the money and order this MSP mount made right here in the USA. Everything arrived nicely packaged. Even the screws had their own tiny bag so as not to bang into the mount during shipping. The finish on the screws, likely an afterthought with other brands, matched the mount's matte finish perfectly. The edges on the machined mount were nice and crisp. And, finally (and most importantly), the iron sights are fully functional when I remove the rings. The sight picture I have is exactly as pictured in the Amazon listing. FYI I have a Ruger 10/22 Sporter with the factory iron sights and Vortex rings.

Well made, machined from billet, Mil-Spec, milled so you can use iron sights
I am very pleased with this picatinny rail. It is a quality piece that allows you to use the factory iron sights of your 10/22 take-down or regular 10/22 with the scope removed. It is low to the receiver so your scope objective bell will just clear the rear sight folded using low .730" scope rings. I used Leupold QD low rings on my 2-7X34 REDFIELD battlezone scope. You can remove the scope and rings and that will permit you to take-down the rifle. With the scope removed you have use of factory iron sights. Also, this rail fits the 10/22 take-down without hanging out over the barrel or jam nut ring, so you have full access to the ring that tightens the barrel/receiver fit. Some others, like the Williams peep sight rail are too long and the rail covers the top part of adjustment ring.I looked at a lot of other rails before I decided on this one. I couldn't be more pleased. Not the cheapest rail out there, but worth the money. It only goes on one way. If all four receiver holes line up you have it on the right way. If only three holes are showing reverse it 180 degrees.

Perfect rail for open sights! Works with my TacSol Barrel.
Very nice, wide channel that provides a complete open sight profile when not being used. I like being able to keep it on my rifle all the time, which makes it a perfect companion for my Tactical Solutions barrel with open sights!

Does what it says! Sturdy, good fit.
Fits and works well, and while you can see your iron sights through it, it bears mentioning that most rail mount have crossmembers that will block this view.

This is the one to get - it actually works!!
I installed this on the Ruger 10/22 Backpacker (takedown) model and it is so perfect! The gap on this one is so wide that I thought it was kinda strange at first. Others have a square or oval notch and it kinda works for the front sight but is not low enough or wide enough to use the rear sight on your Ruger 10/22. This one is both low enough and wide enough for the rear sight and it actually makes the rear sight brighter and faster to locate somehow. This one really works! I'm ordering another for my other Backpacker now...Spend a little more and get the right one - you'll be so happy with this purchase!

Good mount, but I'm not using it.
Although I didn't end up using this scope mount as my final 10/22 solution, I can't fault the mount and give it less stars. It provides everything that it's designed to provide and is a quality product. I don't believe there is any other picatinny style mount that will allow you see through to the fixed sights. Even as low as this mount is, you can't see the whole white diamond of the rear sight - but you can see about 2/3 of it.After playing around with different sight systems, I finally decided not to go with a see through mount system for the 10/22 and instead go with just a super low mount. Basically, I decided I didn't need that extra option. Oh - also I now have to wear glasses for shooting (or else miss a lot), but I need a different correction for fixed sights vs. scope. That in itself was enough for me to go with just a low scope mount. This might work perfectly fine for somebody who's eyes can quickly adjust between fixed and scope and make a quick choice, but not for me.

Just Ok
Just ok. I wish the veiw though the mount was just a bit wider. You can still see the iron sights, but barly. You still have to take the scope off to be able to see the sights.

Quality rail that maximizes options for optics and iron sights
This is a good quality scope rail. There are plenty of options for a 10/22, but this particular rail has a deep cutout in the center of the rail that allows you to use the factory iron sights. This does limit the engagement surface between ring and rail, but it’s plenty strong for the recoil of a .22LR 10/22. Mount the scope with QD rings snd you can transition from scope to iron sights in seconds. This rail plus optics with QD rings/mounts is a fantastic setup for using a 10/22 as a trainer - remove the scope fir practice with iron sights ir swap the the scope with a red dot.
