18 Pre-Moistened Double-Sided Cleaning Wipes for Your Golf Balls and Clubs

Work very well! Also cleaned my shoes really well. I use these over my towel, no more having a dirty towel and having to wash it. These are just easier to have.

These LaGila Golf Wipes really do work well on golf balls. They do remind me of Handi Wipes, but the resemblance ends there. They are slightly textured on one side, something I didn’t notice at first, and are smooth with no design or texture on the other. They do get out those tough stains with their ability to get right now into either crevices of a golf club or dimpled portion of a golf ball. Oddly enough, for one so sensitive to off chemical smells, they didn’t bother me. They actually smelled quite pleasant with the added sandalwood fragrance. The only chemical that I thought would bother me was the ammonia, but perhaps there wasn’t enough to overwhelm the fragrance. The wipes didn’t irritate my nostrils nor my skin. I did try them on a few other surfaces to see what would happen. The wipes do have impressive cleaning ability, but because there’s a high alcohol content, they don’t stay wet for an inordinately long period of time (long enough to do the trick though). Because of the expense, probably no one would want to use them continually, but they are definitely a handy thing to have on hand. Dreadful, the cleaner they used is far too abrasive. I'm sure for people who buy a new set of clubs every year these will be fine, but they're taking far too much metal off my clubs.

There are two questions -- does this work and is it necessary. The answer to the first is that yes, this does a good job of cleaning dirt off golf balls and club faces, including out of the little dimples on the balls and the lines on the club face. The pouch I got did not leave any green fuzz on the balls as experienced by another reviewer. The answer to the second question may depend on the facilities at the courses where you play. Here in Minnesota, most of the courses I play at have a ball washer up near many if not all of the tee boxes so I pop my golf ball in the machine and wipe it off with the towel I have hanging off my golf bag. And a lot of them also have slots near the bottom to put your irons in for cleaning. But if you play at courses where there are infrequent ball washers and/or no place to clean your irons (or if the ground is muddy and you get a big glob of wet dirt on a club you need to use again before the next tee box), this might be handy. I'm not wild about the smell nor do I prefer to use disposable products. But I can see that these will come in handy from time to time. The pouch is re-sealable and I hope the seal keeps them moist for a long time because I won't use one for every hole and will want to use the moist again for the next round or two or three.

Does the job

The LaGila Goft Wipes are not much better than just using water. The pre=moistened double sided wipes are touted "to remove stains and dirt from clubs and balls. I and two other golfers tested this claim and found that the ball washers and wet towels on the course were just as good. The company's claim that these wipes "Increase distance and accuracy" is outrageous. If that was the case every golfer would be using these wipes. The pouch containing the wipes is not anything special and made like all the other types of wet wipes on the market.
