Treacherous: (Carter Kids #1)

Treacherous And His Thorn
Whilst I’m still two books in with the Broken series I couldn’t help myself and delved into Treacherous #1 in the Carter Kids series. Now I’m in trouble because not only have Noah and Teagan stolen my heart but so have the next generation of the Carters. This book was un-put-downable with its explosive storyline fuelled with chemistry, banter, danger, suspense, battle of the neighbours involving hilarious crazy antics by the characters. Some of the characters I fell crazy in love with and then some I hated with a passion! I was addicted from the get go and forgot about the world as Noah, Teagan and the Carters consumed my world. The chemistry and sexual tension between Noah and Teagan was hot-Hot-HOT! Forced to move with her uncle to America, Teagan’s life is made hell by the evil Barbie next door along with her hot arrogant step-brother Noah. I soaked up the pages because it kind of reminded me of one of my favourite books called Bully by Penelope Douglas, but the storyline to Treacherous showed its own brand of uniqueness. Whilst Teagan Jones is beautiful, opinionated, independent, head strong, a lone wolf she definitely met her match in Noah Messina. Noah is a man not to be messed with, he had an air of danger that emanated from him, he’s mysterious, sexy, hot headed, damaged, trapped with responsibility on his shoulders, yet he can’t explain why he’s so drawn to Tegan, and why she makes his heart yearn to be around her.I loved this book it’s an amazing angst read with its enemy to lover’s storyline. I felt deeply connected to the characters as I read their painful journeys to love, laughter and heartache. Whilst I absolutely loved this book, the poor editing did my head in and that’s why I rated it four stars. There were just too many grammatical errors, from wrong punctuation marks used, to words not taken out, words left in or repeated so sentences didn’t flow, and chapters at the end that had the wrong characters named pov, which made it confusing. If a revised edition is published of Treacherous then I would happily increase my rating to five stars as that is what the storyline deserves. I’ve not read any of the author’s new work from 2017, but I just pray she has a team of amazing beta readers/an editor who can do her work justice and not lose out on higher star ratings.

"You're my thorn. If you leave me, I'll bleed out."
4.5 stars"I think she seared me that very first day...because I sure as hell wasn't the same after her."Teagan Connolly moved to Colorado with her uncle, who is an ER doctor, so unfortunately, she spends the majority of time alone. Things aren't helped by the instant animosity from Ellie, the girl next door. Then she meets the step-brother, Noah. He gorgeous and sexy, with an air of danger."Noah Messina lights me up like a firework and I can't even begin to explain the multitude of emotions he rouses inside of me."Noah knows that Teagan spells trouble for him from the moment he hears her singing and then sees her. But he can't afford to have her in his life. His step-sister's antics create a huge gulf between them, which escalates to almost unmanageable proportions when Teagan starts fighting back."Teagan called me treacherous but she was the one who could shake mountains."Teagan is feisty, independent, and stubborn. She's has a wilful, take-no-prisoners attitude and fights the horrible neighbours next door with everything she's got...to the point that she's not willing to see or admit that the culprit of all the pranks is not necessarily Noah."Stop fighting this. I know you feel it, too...This burning heat between us. This primal rawness."The chemistry between them is volatile and combustible, but they are inexorably drawn to each other. Unfortunately, Teagan finds it hard to know if she can truly trust Noah. I found her somewhat annoying, at times, in her stubbornness to not see Noah for who he really was, especially once he'd opened up to her. And, Noah - seriously, he was actually a pretty solid guy. He was stuck between a rock and a hard place, and struggled between doing what he needed to do and what he wanted to do. He was willing to sacrifice a lot to keep her safe."You're my thorn. If you leave me, I'll bleed out."Their story is passionate, tempestuous and thrilling. It is full of emotion, danger, and the angst of teenage love.

"The crazy inside of me needs the crazy inside of you". Loved it!
I loved this book for so many reasons.Once I started I couldn't put it down. I fell into the plot with ease and continued in anticipation. I loved Chloe's writing and the characters. This is my first book by this author and I can't wait to read more.Treacherous had the same feel as Bully by Penelope Douglas and Fear me by BB Reid."There used to be only one thing that could scare the life out of me. The darkness. Now there was something else..The boy next door ".Noah is the boy next door and Teagan is the fiery Irish girl who won't be bullied by anyone.Tragic backstory's for both characters I was completely engaged and captivated by the plot.Noah is an underground fighter but not by choice, he fights to pay for his mum's medical bills and to pay off the sins of his father.Teagan originally from Ireland lost her mum in a tragic car accident has a father serving time in prison and is now in the care of her uncle."Noah Messina LIGHTS me up like a firework and I can't even begin to explain the multitude of emotions he rouses inside of me."Treacherous is hot, intense and as the story goes deeper you can't help but form an attachment to Noah and Teagan especially when their love-hate icey relationship begins to thaw and the world seems to be against them in one way or another. This is not a standalone, Noah and Reagan's story continues over 5 books which is a long journey but I'm hoping to read more, I loved both these characters and their story was bitter sweet."The crazy inside of me needs the crazy inside of you".Told in first person dual pov's.
