Awesome for power outages!
These bulbs are awesome!! Worked great when the power went out. It was great that there is 4 of them, so we spread them throughout the house. Easy to hang or put right in the light fixture. I will purchase a set for my parents, the power goes out frequently at their camp.

Great to use during a electric outage for yourself or I would recommend as a gift for someone else
Great lights to have available when you lose electric, keep them charged and you will have electric for hours during an outage. Theyโre very bright and you can use them as you walk around. Keep them charged and you wonโt be disappointed. I would highly recommend these.

Beware!!!!
These bulbs do all the lovely things that the description says they will do. They last a reasonable amount of time. I use them to hang on stall screens to light up the stall while I'm cleaning it. Here's the kicker, they never mention to you how to charge these things. You have to find a lamp that takes a regular bulb take that bulb out put these bulbs in for 12 hours each and then they are charged. I don't have a lamp like that sitting around doing nothing! It is so inconvenient it is beyond belief. It's a shame. It's also lousy that they don't tell you this in advance. So, as the title implies, BEWARE!

Great Idea! They're Great! But, Be Wary.
We often experience power outages when Nor'easters blow in, so I bought a pack of these rechargeable bulbs to help. At first, I thought they were great. They worked as advertised. You keep them charged, and when the power goes out, the bulbs stay on, so you're not left in the dark looking for a flashlight. They stayed lit for at least five or six hours, giving you the feeling that you still have power. I've used them for probably four months now, through two hours-long power outages. But today, while in the kitchen, I heard the bulb I have screwed into the ceiling light socket, where it has been for four months, begin to sputter and pop. It sounded like a Tesla coil. I immediately took it out. It was not hot, nor was it discolored. I read that these bulbs have a tendency to buzz sometimes, but this was not just a buzz. So, because of this experience, and because I cannot find anything more online about it, I am sadly not going to use them anymore. I was using this particular bulb in a socket controlled by a dimmer switch. I did read where that can have an impact on the behavior of some bulbs. So this may not be a bulb problem, but I will not take a chance. Too bad, because I like them. So, I would suggest just keeping an ear out when using them just to be sure.

Neporal Bulbs Does the Job!
You want light bulbs to count on purchase Neporal 4 Pack Emergency-Rechargeable-Light- Bulbs. I have been using these light bulbs for emergencies, and you can count on them to light up your house even though you don't have solar power. Another selling point is the screw-in cap and hook, which can be hung anywhere.

not impressed
These are cool out of the package and for a month or 3... but after that, these are NOT reliable during power out, they do not last long at all. The batteries are not good, or not for long. After 3 months old, the unit would no longer power up, only flashes off and on after switch is turned off. If looking for a 3 month window of use, and unknown thereafter... these are what you are looking for. All the other said, the lights when used in normal function give off ample lumens to see well, and years into the game they are still operable.... As a light these are awesome. As a battery back up for lighting... I would use a flashlight.

fabulous I never want to be without these
best thing I ever got. Our power goes out all the time especially in the winter. putting these in the socket and letting "juice up" for a bit with regular electricity allows them to last longer when the electricity actually DOES go out. They can last for hours in the dark and beats having to carry a flash light around. I charge up the box so when the power goes out, I'm ready. The extra "hooks" can be used to hang the light bulbs without them needing to be in an actual light socket attached to an outlet. Once you get them, it's easy to understand. I never want to be without these!

Good option
Ok. Where to start. They work. Charging only when lit. When you turn off the light they will not charge. ( No light=no power= no charge To run off internal battery, they supply a socket with switch, otherwise you unplug from the wall and put a jumper across the part that plugs into the wall.

Convenient and cost friendly
These light bulbs are really cool. I love that they're rechargeable and the bottom piece that allows you to hit a button to turn them on and off or hang them up is super easy to attach. I love these and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for convenient portable lighting or lights to have in case of emergency. 10 out of 5 stars! Thank you Amazon!

Seems almost magical, but it works!
I am a PhD scientist, so I was amazed when the instructions said to pick up a bulb, hold the base, touch the pin, and it should light up. But it did! It cleverly detects the difference between an Off switch and a power failure. My only criticisms are that the bulb is large and may be too big for your lamp or light fitting; also, that the quarter page of English instructions is some-what inadequate. The instructions omit to say whether the bulb can work in a situation with a dimming control - I suspect not. They also don't discusss enclosed fixtures - here the size of the bulb may get in the way, and such fixtures often have two bulbs in parallel, which will probably cause problems, though I haven't tested.
