Wood Computer Desk in Black and Cherry Finish by Studio RTA

Great desk for Computer / Homework use.I've had the older (wood side pannel) version of this desk for 10 years, and it has been great (just don't put hot plates or water on the desk).This new version with the aluminum side and back panels isn't quite as strong, but there isn't any other desk that can compete with this design.I'm 6'2", and the leg space is great for tall people who want to stretch back now and then and watch a movie on their comp. Also enough space under for Mid tower + Sub woofer.NOTE:I lowered 1 star, and say its risky because of the following:1. During shipping the packaging isn't put together well enough and there was some cosmetic damage on one of the shelves... (they need more foam or something), so it's going to be hit or miss if you get any damage on your wood pieces.2. The top sides of the aluminum pannels where you screw into the shelves, were all warped and bent... I had to manually bend them back so they could be put together.(For monitors >20", you MUST raise the monitor ~4", or else it will not fit between the two selves)Conclusion:If you have a lot of stuff in your computer work area, and you're tall, etc... this is the desk for you.

In general I really like this desk. Its big, steady, nice looking. But the color that's in the picture is cherry which is the same color in the order and on the box. In reality the color is dark bordo not cherry. I really wanted it to match my closet which is cherry. I have to say I was disappointed that its darker.If not the color I would rate it 5/5.

This was put together quite simply and it is exactly as advertised. Good quality, well constructed and shipped and arrived quickly - great purchase and great value

The desk arrived damaged, but I decided to set it up anyways. Material wasn't as strong as what I had hoped. In good condition, I don't think the desk would be good for heavier speakers and a keyboard. Just too wobbly and light duty for me. I ended getting a refund. Might be worth investing in a better quality desk.

This is our second desk of this make and model. The first one lasted 12+ years before the "wood grain" started wearing off from the computer mouse. This newest purchase is slightly different. Side panels are metal, instead of wood (particle board). And the wheels are smaller, and cheaper. I do understand design changes through the years...but why is quality slowly chipped away? Still a great desk, design, size, etc. for our needs. I would recommend it.

Regrettably, this arrived with three damages : two gouges/scratches to the wood and a dent/bend to the front metal panel. I see that other reviewers noted shipping damages as well, so it would do the seller well to fix the packaging and handling issue.I say regrettably because it's a rather nifty, practical design and ergonomically well done.But I paid a "new" price for something that now appears second-hand given the damages.

This desk was EXACTLY the size, shape and color I was looking for to replace my prior computer desk. I couldn't believe how simple it was to assemble, especially since I normally struggle in that particular area. It exceeds my expectations and delivery was extremely quick. I'd definitely recommend this product to my friends and family members.

Excellent desk for me, however the area where you set your monitor cannot handle large monitors. I had to cut notches in the raised platforms to slide my monitor in.Its sturdy, was in good shape when it arrived, the instructions were pretty clear, and it is on decent rollers. I was easily able to roll it around with all my computer stuff on it across carpet.4 stars instead of 5 cause you cannot put a larger monitor in the middle.
